Re: Clubs that cheat.
He has so much class. We could do with him here, but Sarries are not likely to lose out, should he opt to remain in the game.

Re: Tigers vs Barbarians 1987
I have video tapes of all tigers games shown on television here in the South from 1978 - 2005, including the first live televised league club game, which was at Welford Road.

Re: Clubs that cheat.
Sarries cheating! Well bless my old boots, I would never have guessed. There are many devious ways to get round the salary cap, and you can be sure, Saracens know all about them. How on earth can the honest clubs compete fairly, with this going on? The authorities are a disgrace by not investigating...

Re: Sour grapes from Burgess?
I have to say that during the World Cup, Burgess offered very little, but then, he wasn't the only one. However, his remarks were pretty much "pot-kettle" Far better to have kept his mouth closed, methinks.

Re: New users! Say hello, introduce yourself here.(new thread)
A big hello to all the members of this forum. I am retired from the Thames Valley Police, and have followed Tigers since 1978. My place of birth was Aylestone, but have spent most of my life in Marlow, on the river Thames. However, I have never forgotten my roots, and am proud to come from Leicester...

Re: Bristol v Tigers
Our best chance of an away win this season. Other member's selections look very apt, but I would definitely have David Denton start the game. We need to apply ourselves for the full 80 minutes. hopefully the weather will be fair, allowing us to run the ball, without those silly mistakes that have be...

Re: Tigers vs Saracens
Just why is it that we don't start playing decent rugby until we are too far behind to win? It is just so predictable, frustrating, and annoying. Whatever happened to our competing for a whole 80 minutes?

Re: Tigers vs Saracens
We will need a massive improvement to contain Sarries. Players will have to stand up and be counted, by showing their mettle.
I hope Tigers will be up for it, and get a win, but it wont be easy.
Prediction - a Sarries win.

Re: Errors?
Yes, we are making too many basic errors, but far more importantly, we appear to be muddled and unsure ourselves. This currently lies on the shoulder's of G.M. Great player that he was, there is no sign that he has improved anything since the departure of M.O.C. It is abundantly apparent, that we ha...

Re: Ben Ryan
The game is one of chalk and cheese, to when the amateur era was in full flow. With so much at stake now, the game is all about winning, and nothing else. Thus sadly, the ever present sparkle, has vanished, along with all those exciting players, doing their best to win, but also putting on a show fo...

It will be interesting to see how the whole scenario pans out. It's more exciting than the rugby is at the current time

It did look like an "old fashioned rake " to me also, and needs to be looked re. a punishable offence.

Re: How to Keep Manu at Tigers
I believe it would be more to the point to ask how we can keep Manu free of so much injury at Tigers. His absenteeism is catastrophic, and persistent. Would we be better off letting him go without too much fuss, if he is in two minds? My view is that we should, and bring in someone else as a marquee...

Re: Gloucester vs Tigers
While Gloucester are always a tough nut to crack, especially on their own ground, I was hoping for a better display from the team. Sadly, this did not happen, with J.F. and the back line looking quite inept. I worry that our squad lacks quality in depth, there being too many square pegs in round hol...
