Re: Leicester Tigers Women 2023/24 - Vicky Macqueen in 'The Magnificent Fifteen'

So where on Tigers website do we know the result of our first Prem. game and all details.. Unlike the men's games where there is a running commentary?????? Oh where is Gary Sherrard when you needed him??? sad loss to the club. Perhaps the Operations Manager Chris. Rose could assist but he has appare...

Re: Atmosphere during games

I can't believe that serious fans want this rubbish during breaks in play! How is it exciting compared with play? And what makes anyone think that it will draw youngsters to the game? It's not possible to maintain tension for eighty or more minutes, nor should we want to. There are already enough a...

Re: TMO reviews and Dallaglio

Dallaglio argues in the Telegraph for a change in TMO rulings as they are "Paralysis by analysis". More interestingly (hilariously?) he argues for stricter financial controls. The man has little self-awareness and his irony detector must have been lost at the bottom of a ruck somewhere. h...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

Mbonambi says England were "unprofessional" to have made a complaint, and that it's sad that the English assume everyone else speaks English - they should have just gone online and done a translation. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/africa/67344906 A) This interview was done in English. No on...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

Good mates with Ribbans possibly. How long is Genge going to stay at Bristol without his mate Well he's rumored to be unhappy at Bristol anyway and spending as much time as possible doing things like his gym in Leicester... If he ever did come back I do hope that the club will make a 'welcome home'...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

After a great game to lose by one point shows that the English rose has not wilted! But has Leicester Tigers "Rose" Chief Marketing & Operations Officer wilted? as he was neither on his normal haunts of the Plaza, Final Whistle or on the pitch on Saturday. He certainly was not in the J...

Re: It's Barnsey!

It is such a shame that we have rarely seen Wayne at Tigers in recent years as we could do with excellent referees at our level.
Saturday's Referee was unsure of himself and the offside laws,
So pleased for Wayne but hoping he still Referees the Premiership or is a tutor for the next generation.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration

Some ambiguity here, but it appears that Wasps will return: https://www.ruck.co.uk/wasps-statement-return-to-high-level-rugby-in-2024-25/ So basically we find out soon if they have managed to poach Sixways from Worcester then they start hiring a team. Well, looks like it will not be Worcester Wasps...

Re: RWC 2023 Fixtures and results

So they crossed off Chessum’s second try for propelling himself on the ground but completely ignored the lack of arms in the tackle that stopped him. This was a typical Brace level of refereeing, I suppose we are lucky that his sidekick Joy Neville was not the TMO but as we have seen at Tigers Brac...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

After the fantastic win by Wales over the terrible moaning Aussies I am concerned that Dan Palmer ~ Tigers future Set piece coach will bring us their total lack of the packs skills to Tigers. Are we making a mistake? :smt017

And if he's really unlucky, he'll be EQP again in just over 35 month's time. Depends if he has English blood, otherwise he can only play for Hong Kong! He must have an English granny. Just like Thomas Waldrom! :smt003 Don't forget that Jonah Holmes found that his washing machine was made in Merthyr...

Anthony Watson is shown as "released" i.e. departed from the Leicester Tigers team. But he still appears on the Tigers players website listing! Oh! where is Gary Sherrard when you need him at the start of the season?

The Wikipedia List of 2023 / 2024 Premiership Rugby transfers has added Anthony Watson released by Tigers.
Nothing seen yet on the club news. If so a very sad loss to the Club and possibly the Country too.

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

Given we essentially signed Powell as a bonus to cover two international scrum halves when LI folded. I'm doubtful even if he’s out for the season that we'll sign an injury replacement. Once the world cup is over for England I can't see Youngs playing for England again really. So we'll have Youngs,...
