Re: WALES v IRELAND
I also thought you weren't allowed to take a quick throw in if the lineout had started to form. Given that all of the Irish forwards were lined up expectantly (not to mention Matthew Rees on his mark), would this also have made the quick throw illegal? Or is there some subtlety about forming a line...

Re: WALES v IRELAND
So you think Matthew Rees 'accidentally' took a ball from a kid by the pitch having seen the last one fly over his head then popped it to Philips at pace? Did Hook 'accidentally' take off on a run before kicking the ball?BJ. wrote:Non-accidental? Yeah right.

Re: WALES v IRELAND
No matter what club or country welsh gamesmanship etches out another win. Shame on you I don't know - don't just blame the welsh A quick throw-in to Mike Philips for his try should have been called back because (a) a new ball was used; and (b) the correct ball was still in the stands and therefore ...

Best rugby region in England?
I just popped over to the BBC website to look at the current Aviva Prem table, and spotted a strange trend - apart from the 2nd/3rd places for Saffacens and Stains, the areas that the teams come from are in the following order: Midlands London South West North Strange trend, eh? I suppose it can be ...

Re: What **shall** I wear?
Alright then - Tigers shirt it is! I might be standing next to a guy who is planning to wear a shirt from the Arabian Pot Bellied Pigs, and it is likely to be loud enough to scar your retinas for life, so the tv cameras are bound to pick him out!

What **shall** I wear?
I'm attending the Wasps v Harlequins Low Value Cup game in Abu Dhabi this evening, but obviously being a Tigers supporter I'm not a fan of either side! If pushed, I hate Quins marginally less, so I guess I will be cheering them on [while simultaneously jeering at Tom Varndell, Will Skinner et al for...

An Oval Jewel?
Anyone know that the advert for Tigers Corporate Hospitality on the splash page [the one before the Tigers homepage] is supposed to mean?
ALL FOR THE SAKE OF AN
OVAL JEWEL
Anybody...?

Re: Abu Dhabi Wasps
Do the Wasps realise that if one of the players openly kisses his wife in public in this regime then they may both be arrested? Do they understand that if one of their female supporters gets done in this regime then she will only be able to get the offender convicted if she produces 12 male witness...

Re: Abu Dhabi Wasps
What annoys me a little is they will be playing in a temporary 5,000 seater stadium purpose built for the game... there are many football stadia in AD that could hold it, but I assume the Pests or their agents have run into the same obstacles as the local Abu Dhabi rugby club: no-one is willing to l...

Re: Abu Dhabi Wasps
...oh, and the thread title is misleading, it is Dubai Wasps and Abu Dhabi Harlequins!
[or at least those are the Prem teams' local namesakes!!]
If Leicester want to get in on the action, I can ask the AD Quins here to change to the Abu Dhabi Tigers

Re: Abu Dhabi Wasps
I despair. :smt009 :smt011 :smt017 I rejoice! :smt041 Not only will I get to see some professional rugby (at the Emirates Palace Hotel, no less - look it up! It has a gold vending machine and a christmas tree worth $11,000,000!), but I also get the opportunity to barrack Tom Vardell and Will Skinne...

Re: I don't like this.......
Hypocrites. Tell their UAE friends that they also want to stage a ladies match, and see how that goes down. You know, women actually being allowed to come out of their houses, proceed without any male escorts, strip off to their shorts showing their bare legs. Also showing their hair. Running aroun...
