Re: Tigers v SArries

Some good things, some bad things. In the grand scheme of things at the moment a loss at home to Saracens isn’t a surprise sadly. Front row played well and given all his critics thought Kitchener has been getting each week, putting in some decent shifts. Normally a massive fan of Williams, but for a...

Re: Tigers v SArries

How can people blame MOC when we are missing a forwards coach. Also wouldn’t mind Murphy leaving, sad truth is he only got the gig cos he’s an ex Tigers great. Great player, not coach. Handling has been awful with him in charge as skills coach. That’s hardly MOC’s fault, Murphy was already there whe...

Re: At what stage....

Given that Saracens whilst off form are arguably the best side in Europe, a loss is hardly unexpected. Every realist could have predicted the result, doesn’t make us a bad team, just they were better. No shame in that. If we don’t make the top 4, it won’t be this game or next weeks game away to Exet...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Ha Lewington is so bad in defence and under the high ball. For every great try he scores he concedes at least one! Beginning of the season he has the worst stats in the whole of the premiership.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

I’m fed up with the criticism of a big No8, it’s just that everyone on here are inpatient reminiscing folk who don’t appreciate the potential of Mapapalangi On another note, Gary Gold has compared our potential new signing Spencer to Bakkies Botha, but then again Brad Thorn said Kitchener was the n...

Re: Tigers v SArries

Do feel a bit sorry for MOC, his two best opensides in Ryan and O’Connor are either injured or just coming back from injury. Plus as much as I rate Evans, wouldn’t want him playing against Sarries atm, needs to add some weight first.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Fitz probably is more of a 6 than lock. But is he better than Mapapalangi and Williams? If he isn’t then he’s probably on a lot of money for 3rd choice.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

If you wanted a pack to win the premiership, would need. 1. Genge 2.TPN 3. Cole 4. Spencer? 5. ??? 6. Kalamafoni 7??? 8??? So yeah missing 4 players out of 8. Bateman, Youngs, Barrow, Wells, Mapapalangi, Williams and Hamilton are all good strength in depth with Evans coming through. Kalamafoni has t...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Sounds harsh but would like to see the Mauger appointments in the forwards leave, such as Fitzgerald and O’Connor. By no means bad players just don’t think they suit our style or the way we want to play going forwards. Traynor and Baumann have shown they aren’t up to the level so need to go and Cill...

Re: Tigers v SArries

Tigers should be looking to win this. Some big names missing from Sarries especially in the pack, nothing to fear from that unit. Barritt will also be a big miss defensively. As this is at WR we should be looking for the win. Our pack will have to front up and get some quick ball going. Their bench ...

Re: Tigers v SArries

Once upon a time Kitchener was the form lock in the premiership and topped the line out stats, hence was picked in the EPS. For some reason he hasn’t been at the top of his game but I have no reason to believe he can’t get back to that level again. I can see why MOC sticks with him at the minute, pr...

Mafi and Spencer would be a good start. Would love the Spencer rumour to be true.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Start off at fullback, with Vieanu, Pakalani with maybe Ofowfela stepping up, having plenty of talent at 15. With wingers, have plenty of depth and with Holmes looking like he could step up into the starting XV, could see Brady leaving. Centres: We all know both MTs are world class. Tait and Smith n...

Re: Is O'connor up to the job??

Let's be honest, he inherited a pretty average group of players with zero leadership skills between them. Recruitment for the last 2-3 years has been terrible. People can bang on about Plumtree and drug-cheat-Ackerman and whichever other Southern Hemisphere name is currently in fashion all they lik...
