Re: Next match- Coventry v Tigers
Betham similar to Worth's drop, both took their eyes off ball, such a pity, we were almost certain to score! Game reminded me of the song, "hello mother, hellow father" has the sun finely come out, backs started to move ball impressively in 2nd half! Did anyone else think there was a doub...

Re: Owen Williams to Gloucester
Decent squad player/ backup but wouldn't want him for that money - good luck gloucs! Extra value in that they know he is ineligible for call up? I agree, not £400K though. Then again, maybe that's what they have to pay knowing that the regions are willing to pay over the odds for Welsh 10s, which a...

Re: Surely it's now time?
I'd be tempted to give Worth the 15 shirt for the rest of the season and see if he grows into the role. Yep. A stunning catch under pressure this afternoon. He'll be gutted with the knock on, but certainly he needs to start the next three games now that Munster (or Glasgow) are virtually assured th...

Re: DOR aspirants, then?
As for other coaches , nothing against boris , but I would have approached either castro as a scrum coach ( he's set up his own rugby camps now so teaching kids ) or is it to early for Marcus to be player/coach You're well informed of their respective coaching qualifications and styles then? I'm su...

Not overly difficult kicks either.
Great win for the Falcons. Good match to watch too.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
As this is all becoming rather surreal... The more I think (yes, I do think!) about it, the more I like the idea of Toby back here playing a Hodgson role. Great pushing forward on the gain line and creatively setting others up to score and with Anthony Allen he provided some real structure in defen...

Re: Departure of Cockerill
Eddie Jones says he sympathises with Richard Cockerill and is open to the possibility of the sacked Leicester boss joining England's coaching set-up. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/38503190 Reading between the lines in their press interviews I think they actually get on quite well as rugby ...

Re: Do we need to fail to be great again
Ask Saints' and Quins' fans.
Anyway, we're 5 points outside the top 4. We have virtually no realistic chance in Europe before we've even got to the January rounds. Relatively, that's failure.

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
So if Owen goes and Ford's off to Sale or wherever and we need a back-up for Freddie who can fit in at 12 if necessary and won't be precious if he's on the bench and could play a sort of Charlie Hodgson role...I wonder if South West France gets boring after a while? All that wine and sunshine and t...

Re: Yesterday's game.
Sadly it the little things that cost games. Just as Sarries should have played 10 minutes with 14 in the first half following Skelton's no arm shoulder charge tackle. Ironically the incident they did refer to the TMO - Itoje's feet first charge down - wasn't the only one in the match.

Had an email earlier from a friend up t'north that he's heard SLancatser was in the frame. Unfortunately he wasn't winding me up so I'm hoping he's still hungover and confused after New Year! I was never a huge fan of SL with England, but... It's not a ridiculous thought. Apart from the minor blip ...

Re: Positive Posts only for The Great Cockerill
Cockerill is Tigers. It's been a honour to have him as such a huge part of this club. Hear hear. He joined as a player, left to go to France (before the big bucks) and came back to coach and then lead the club. He is without doubt one of the finest servants of the club, if not the finest. His passi...
