Re: Team vs Exeter
Edit as OT. Will be interesting to see the dynamic between Betham and Manu, esp in defence. That was my thought also. JDV and Smith are disciplined organisers (as was AA), Betham and Manu are more infantry than generals. However, both wonderful going forward so as long as we score more points, I'll...

Can't fathom Slater at 8. Rest of the team great from what is available. But Slater is not an 8. Too slow. If you are picking Slater there, you might as well play Crane. At least Crane has the experience We seem to be accommodating the captain. Crane and Pearce are both available and seasoned 8's.

Re: Team's up: Tigers v London Irish
JDV captained one of the worlds best sides at 12. Manu was rightly signed up on a huge contract based on his performances at 13. Simplesfentiger wrote:Manu back at 13, has the experiment failed? Methinks JDV found he couldn't get involved last week

(Half) Plastic pitch at Welford Rd
Anyone know why the pitch is half covered in plastic (see the webcam)?
It has been like that for a couple of days and I would have thought the already limited amount of grass would be killed by the lack of light.
We wont be able to blame Will Young this time (or whichever MOR act was on the stage)

Agreed. He looked a great prospect a couple of years ago (deserved MOM in an LV game). Not really heard much since.
I recall he was not huge but very mobile. Should suit the new Mauger way of playing

Re: Leicester Tigers Rugby Show 3 February 2016
I have become a little frustrated with the show -although I still take the podcast every week. The coaches and players are now so media trained that you get bland, cautiously positive platitudes rather than meaningful insights. If you are not sure what I mean, listen when George Chuter is on, now re...

I am amazed. nearly 3 hours since Jumbo produced the team sheet for us and all we are talking about is hangover cures and what colour shirts whoever plays for Tigs will be wearing, a signof the times? :smt003 I see that we've gone for the home strip with Bateman at hooker, do we know whether he'll ...

Re: OTY to be cited
I find this business irritating to say the least. The ref saw it (I think brought to his attention by the TMO). Between the ref and 4th official they decided it was worthy of a yellow after taking their time looking at all available angles. Therefore, unless there is some significant evidence that w...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/35400355 If clubs can loose £4m per year and carry £40m debts, surely that amounts to buying trophies? Should we follow football and bring in financial fairplay rules? I know that could send Sarries, Bath and a few of the more eccentric French owners scurrying ...

Do you think Eddie might point him at the Saxons first?
England probably have a few ahead at 6 or 8, but 7 is an ongoing problem
I think that's what happened with Thomas Waldrom?
