Re: Daly 3 week ban
I don't agree with the offence severity being based on the outcome, that is just chance. The intention/recklessness is what counts. I've argued this for some time and completely agree - if someone intentionally attempts to punch or kick someone, but misses, nothing happens; if they connect then san...

Re: Cashton to Toulon
And fair enough, he was probably unlikely to play for England again so why not get a guaranteed three years (high) remuneration and a sun tan?!

Re: More media foment over school rugby.
So, let's also ban the following (there are probably more): Soccer - heading, tackling; Cricket - fielding close-in; Hockey - the sticks themselves (terrible weapons); Squash - the racquets (ditto); Horse riding - falling off: Motorsport - everything; Gymnastics - too many to mention; Cycling - fall...

Re: Just a hint of....a forward pass?
If advantage is to be allowed to the attacking team on marginal forward passes why is a player possibly a fraction in front of the kicker on an attacking kick penalised yet there is no penalty for off side at practically every kick off. The game needs consistency from the officials and there should...

I'm relatively sure Einstein had a theory about all this.

Re: Kit Watch
And yet again, when I attempt to reply using the 'quote' option, my post has vanished :smt017 So, to assuage h's dad's concern, all my post attempted to point out was that I do understand advertising (and it is my choice as to whether I buy and wear something with it or not) but the images of the cl...

Re: Kit Watch
Because the Tigers shop had no classic shirts available last Friday I was unable to see (and feel) what they are like. However, the pictures on the Tigers' website show NO advertising, just Kooga and the Tigers crest. I'm personally hoping that if the shirt is actually worth buying (and I'm not hold...

Re: Manu going to Leicester Lions ...
Interesting article. Have to say he looked almost slim when we saw him on Friday evening - looking forward to a season with him fully fit.

Re: Late night disturbance
Players have a few beers, go into McDonalds, some go behind the counter. Disturbance ? More like over reaction. Or, professional sportsmen representing their club in a foreign city steal food and are apprehended! I know which one the media will prefer and, assuming the article is factual, yet anoth...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
I was told by a fellow Tigers supporter at the match last night that we are apparently after Scott Higginbotham. That would seem an odd choice since he is only one year into a two year contract in Japan and also that he is (another) 7 or 8 rather than a dedicated No 8! I know contracts can, and are...

Re: Wearing a tigers shirt abroad
Wanted to buy a new classic shirt after the game yesterday, none available. Saw others wanting the same thing and only so-called player quality shirts available.
I thought I'd seen some fans wearing new classic shirts - where did they get them?
Have now had to cancel our trip abroad!!

Re: Ospreys tomorrow night.
At the risk of being condemned into the doom and gloom corner my view is that both attack and defence coaches will have their hands full over the next week. Ospreys showed exactly how to create space and put players into it. They also read most of our attack plays quite easily. Our scrum looked good...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Intriguingly, despite the claims that this is 100% turf on a mesh of some synthetic material, we noticed a number of 'Astro turf-like' plastic strands about 1 to 2 inches long sitting on the surface (note that this was right in the corner of the pitch, we didn't go onto the pitch!). We couldn't see ...
