Re: Who should be the next Head Coach / DoR at Tigers?

TBH, I dont know enough aboutthe 2 Dans and Leon McDonald to have an opinion really. Apart from my Ulster fan mate saying we're welcome to McFarland, but he's always very pessimistic when it comes to rugby.

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

Rassie not for me, the blokes a silly man.

Although the irony of his past misdemeanors and the amount of ref moaning (me included) on this forum is quite funny.

Edit: saying that, I didn't really want Borthwick!!...

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

I could well be wrong, but “Leicester Tigers is not a club that is interested in having a transition period" says to me that they will not be appointing anyone that is going to the world cup. Which probably rules Chieka out as well, unless they deem he can do both jobs.....

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

Chieka has a history of multitasking, so could possibly be here for a pre-season as well as doing the WC....

Whos knows though! 🤷‍♂️

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

Just received a WhatsApp message from No 2 son stating that after a successful period at Leicester Tigers, Welford will be joining the England set up as official team mascot. It is hoped that his enthusiasm in inspiring the Tigers crowd to cheer their team to victory will be carried forward into th...

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

Things seem to be changing daily, so peoples opions change as well. Last night I said I though Middleton was coming, Today I think it's Chieka....

I don't believe anyone need to apologies, it's a pretty emotive time for Tigers fans.

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

The comment about no transition period rule Townsend out for me.

Obvs Cotter and McFarland wont be at the WC as well though.

Middleton is just a feeling though. I'd be happy with either of the above.

Re: Change to tackle height laws

I mean, the name 'scrum cap' should tell the wearer what its use is. kids coaches should be telling parents that they are not a tackle aid but for scrummaging.

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?

I don't mind them trying it, if the midweek training is telling them it'll work, but having no plan b is criminal.

There are enough gaps in play for the coaches to get a message on to the pitch....
