Re: Bath vs Tigers
Burns is an extremely talented player who was great in attack and good in the end from the tee. However, I always thought fly half was his wrong position as his game management was non-existant. George and Joe Ford both excel in this area and it’s what Tigers need at the moment, not a 50/50 player. ...

Re: England Team v Los Pumas
Thought the centres offered nothing, and for all the hype Slade was poor with his passing. Robshaw too didn’t have a great game. Would have liked Haskell at 6 but he isn’t in the squad so for the next game would like to see: Vunipola Hartley Cole Itoje Kruis Robshaw Underhill Hughes Youngs Ford Farr...

Re: Bath vs Tigers
Holmes looks premiership class, both in attack and defence! Seems to have a lovely ability to drift about like Ashton and picking out breaks!

Re: Bath vs Tigers
Agreed on the above! This season has definitely shown Tigers got the better deal with Ford, Burns nowhere near the same league! Backs look nervous on the ball but some good half breaks by Olewfela and Simmons. Harry Thacker being his usual self around the park, a must keep! Good little bits from Lew...

Re: Tigers sign Wallabies international hooker
Great signing by Tigers, always think hooker is a position where you need two international players which we have missed since Ghiraldini left. Sadly looks like either Thacker or McGuigan are going. Would hope to keep Thacker, he is through the academy and has more ability. Will only get better in t...

Re: Tigers v Glaws
For a long time Tigers have been criticised for not enough players coming through the academy. Nice to see a few players there who could make an impact for Tigers in a few years in the premiership like Worth and Olowfela

Re: Mike Williams
Also Mapa seems to be a better jumper than Williams at 6. They seemed to use him as first jumper on the defensive line outs.
I think with no injuries Williams will be used more as bench cover for lock and back row

Re: Tigers v Castres
I would pick: Genge McGuigan Cole Wells Barrow Kalamafoni Mapapalangi O’Connor Youngs Ford (C) Toomua Smith May Veainu Pakalani Bateman Youngs Cilliers Williams Hamilton Harrison Owen Tait Good impact from the bench there for the last 20. Given that Pakalani got capped for Tonga this Summer, would l...

Re: 2nd Row
I wouldn’t say anyone is whinging about the players, we’re all fans and allowed to discuss the team. Simple truth is that Tigers standards should be to win the premiership and the current crop of locks aren’t as good as our rivals. Barrow and Wells are both good locks, but could do with some more qu...

Re: 2nd Row
2nd row is definitely the weakest unit in the whole team. The first and second choice front row have shown they are as good as anybody in the premiership and the back row seems to be coming along nicely. However the second row seems to be a shambles. Wells seems to be our best lock, and that isn’t s...

Re: London Irish v Tigers
Very impressed with Will Evans, with over 20 tackles he has a good engine. Also a couple of turnovers and a try! Lacks a bit of physicality but at only 20 he will pack on some weight as he gets older and will be able to impose himself more! Definitely the best prospect from the academy in a long tim...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!
Wouldn’t be too shabby but also wouldn’t be overly great! Look at Sarries, Itoje, Kruis, Isikwe, Skelton and Day, head and shoulders above our options. Same with Saints and Bath options at locks. We could look to build around Barrow and Wells who have growth to improve, but Kitchener and Fitzgerald ...

Re: London Irish v Tigers
What were the commentators saying on BT Sport, Lewington so far has one of the worst defence stats in the premiership, missing 11 tackles! Yeah he sometimes looks good going forwards, but lacks an all round game that Thompstone has. Same with Steele, nowhere near White. He has been tearing it up in ...
