Re: Franco-English Anglo-French banter

I would love to be there for the Stade Français match but I'm heading home to Toulouse on the Friday before. I am however, planning to go to the Glaws match (on the 2nd, I think). Tigers' fans should not be lulled into too much self confidence looking at SF's lowly position in the Top14. ZSF will tr...

Re: Franco-English Anglo-French banter

Boudjedall, the boss of
Toulon, is pushing for a French league of 12 teams instead of a Top 14.
It's unlikely to happen but if it were to happen now, Stade Français, who are currently 3rd from last, would be relegated to ProD2, the second division!

Re: The referee in the Quarter Final will be....

. Why not a French ref for the all French tie and Englishmen for the all English ties? Then there's not going to be unnecessary problems with the different interpretations used in the different leagues. I think they should the "neutrality" of refs should be based on the league they ref in rather th...

Re: Job Marler racially abusing a Welsh player? No Sanction

Who remembers the old Welsh coach Gareth Jenkins (whose record with the Welsh XV was not the best) being called 'gypo' by disgruntled Welsh supporters? Surely a case of the pot calling the kettle black, eh? You don't seem to have grasped the real point in all of this. It's only the English who can ...

Re: Tigers v Saracens

A good result, albeit against a weakened Sarries.
Now, if they can win at Sale next week then that sets us up nicely for Glos (and I'll be at that match - my first one for a couple of years!) and Stade Français.
Allez les tigres!!!

Still wouldn't be surprised if Tuilagi were to be an 11th hour replacement on the bench for Matt Smith's "flu"!

Re: Franco-English Anglo-French banter

True, le "French flair" has been somewhat absent this 6N, but let's not forget that this team is in transition with a new man, Guy Novès at the helm, and a successful team isn't going to be recreated in the near future.
Patience is called for - which many French rugby fans don't have.

Glum faces in the boulangerie this morning - except mine, as I asked for my baguette with a very English accent!
I could hear them thinking - what have you got to smile about!

Re: Franco-English Anglo-French banter

The pre-match atmosphere is building nicely down here and am being told by my froggie friends that the Grand Slam is a dream - although I can tell they're not too confident!!
Needless to say, I'm telling them they're doomed to another defeat by the rosbifs!
