Re: Benetton Treviso this evening...
I thought the away kit looked quite good. What do you mean the names are edged out by sponsors? The names will be on the shirts when the season starts. As always. I won't judge our performance until the season starts. Both DCAT and I liked the away strip, although it would not suit her complexion (...

Re: Nottingham Tigers
I think we should have a Tigers orientated version of the song. Here's one to get us started: Telusa, Telusa off he goes again Telusa, Telusa beating several men Feared by the Saints Loved by the fans Telusa, Telusa, Telusa. :smt035 :smt035 :smt035 Any suggestions? I like it, and it scans quite wel...

The Robin Hood Stand! Finally a new song to sing! :smt005 Who dares warm up tights now! Although I have major reservations about the new name, it does hand us a song that everyone can sing. Those of us that remember Richard Greene as the eponymous 'hero' from the mid-fifties/early sixties' televisi...

Re: Kit Watch
I should add we're not allowed to share pictures yet. You'll have to wait until Saturday! What significance is Saturday? This Saturday or any Saturday? Tigers have in recent years taken to unveiling their new strip at the Singha Sevens, which are on Saturday. Whether people go to or watch the Seven...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
I don't KNOW but I suspect the lines are the drainage going in and that when that is completed they will lay turf and not seed - just a guess I think that you are right - probably! How Simon Cohen has resisted Tweeting as they started digging up the pitch, I don't know! The gradual build up has bee...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
If the Brentford video on the website is anything to go by, we could have a pitch in three days. Whether it will be playable for rugby in a further three days, I doubt, but will there be any need to test it?

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Looks to me like they are taking up the turf from the Cat/Met-Rx/Whatever its called now I think that you are right, judging by the latest view at 11.40. So they will be laying turf then! One wonders whether the go-ahead for the job was very recent, so they seeded the pitch in case they could not g...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
I think that you will find that the pitch is disappearing from the outside, inwards, under a brown layer, which could be dressing, or the binding agent. One pass seems to take a few minutes now 11.20 and they are back!

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
From Simon Cohen's tweet 10 mins ago, it looks like a new pitch may be going in today! Looks like it going in now, or at least they are doing something to the pitch. They started at approx. 10.30 and seem to have done half the pitch already. Looked at first as if they were just giving it a cut, but...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Cockers referred to it as a hybrid and he was definite about it being installed and ready to use for Ospreys. Does anyone know how this will compare to Sarries/Falcons pitches and Worcester's new pitch? Anyway great news IMO. Desso is a hybrid pitch sarries/Falcons/Wuss are not. Hybrid means reinfo...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
the webcam is online and pointing at a very nice green pitch.. check under fanzone, interactivity, webcams So they moved the webcam to a different location on the website, and the view seems to be wider! Perhaps we can expect to see the installation of the new pitch as it happens, or, perhaps, it h...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
I thought such pitches were a long lead item as they were in demand. Would have also thought beginning of the close season would have been the right time to lay it. Be good if it happens. Cockers seemed pretty definite about it, and he is not known for saying something before it is set in stone. Wh...

Re: They've only gone and done it!
Great day for Leicester yesterday, with Foxes and Selby winning their respective Championships. Riders likely to be next at the weekend, hopefully, followed by Tigers(?). Even the Cricket team seems to be joining in by returning to winning ways. Maybe Leicester IS the sporting capital of the UK at t...
