Re: Gloucester (Home) - Saturday 26th February 2022 - KO 3-00pm

I have a feeling Heyes will be retained by England, which means we might be in trouble if Cole isn't ready for 60/70 minutes. Green needs to start this one, he's a maul and set piece specialist. I would guess he and Liebenberg were on the bench last week to keep them fresh for this week. Whoever pla...

Deano should be in trouble after that. Ridley didn't have his best game but he was 100% correct with the red and for a DoR to criticise that is outrageous.

Shame that Deano didn't express any concern for his former player. Gone down in my estimations.

Re: Bath (AWAY) - Saturday 19th February 2022 - KO 15:00

Scrappy win away from home, Bath were better than I expected, Muir was strong and de Glanville's tackle on Nadolo was a surprise! Their defence is really improving but Ojomoh needs to do better without the ball if he's going to fulfil his promise. Kelly was excellent again and Burns controlled the g...

Re: Other Fixtures 18th-20th February 2022

Radrada looked brilliant last season linking up with Piutau, and to a lesser extent Malins and Randall. Most of the spectacular Radrada moments I recall involved him and Piutau one-twoing their way up the pitch. When it's just Radrada with a lot of average around him, it is much harder to make somet...

Re: Formerly of this parish

I liked White at Tigers, didn't know he was Scottish though. Unfortunately for him he wasn't as good as Youngs, as experienced as Wigglesworth, or seem to have the potential of JvP. Hope he comes on and gets a cap :smt023 Apparently one of his grandparents was! Always seems strange to me you can go...

Re: 6 Nations 2022

I'm guessing we would have seen Barbeary by now if he was going to feature. I'd love to see him get a chance but obviously there are areas that Jones wants him to work on.

They did, Quins were terrible though. Awful handling, missed tackles everywhere. It was one of those games where it feels like both teams are doing their best to lose.

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Rugby is a niche sport and always will be. Let's accept that, embrace it even, and help everyone who loves the game prosper, rather than the incessant desperate courting of wealthier countries. The issue with this view is that the there are a far wider range of things people can get involved in as ...

Re: Bath (AWAY) - Saturday 19th February 2022 - KO 15:00

Should be expecting a win here. There really isn't much tackling ability in that Bath back line, Nadolo in particular could have a field day.

Faletau and Hughes could cause us some problems, but I'd still much rather have Martin and Wiese at 6 and 8.

BP might be tricky if the conditions are bad.

Re: 6 Nations 2022

The thing about Castro, Parisse & Dominguez is, they are all Argentinian. Now the Pumas are much stronger than 20 years ago, their best players want to play for Argentina, so Italy are left with picking up the scraps of other nations rejects - if you look at the XV who started vs France, a third...

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Italian club rugby is now at its strongest Is it? Back in the late 90's and early 00's Bennetton were averaging 2 wins a season in the Heinken Cup, now it's approx 1 win every 2/3 years... Zebre struggle to get more than 3 wins in an entire URC season. Italy U20s have just beaten England for the fi...

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Italy are what they are. Nearly 20 years of perseverance and they are less competitive than when they joined. Most of their best players have been Argentinians. There simply isn't much interest in rugby in Italy. Why does rugby need to try to be a global game? It never has been and it never will be....

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Why not just add the Aussies and Kiwis, scrap the RWC and call it the Rugby World League? I'm not quite sure where the game is going at the moment. On one hand we seem to be trying to create a cricket style environment where it's constant internationals and nothing else matters, but on the other ha...

Re: Bath (AWAY) - Saturday 19th February 2022 - KO 15:00

Can anyone genuinely hand on heart remember any game where the referee has decided the outcome ? I doubt it. You see it across the club forums, where when their team loses, it’s never the team’s fault, it’s always the officials. It would be fair to say that Tigers only beat Sarries this season beca...
