Re: Challenge Cup Quarter final 2021 v Newcastle

Another game that showcased some bits that are good about Tigers at present & other bits that certainly aren't, we struggle to adapt to the opposition on occasion, the 12 shirt really is the most open at present & is Martin going to be a 2nd row or a 6? WW just gets worse every game, he is ...

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch

Nottingham v Coventry 5.30 pm 27th March

Sam Lewis on the bench for Coventry. Could do with a rest I suppose, he's had lots of starts.

Jordan Coghlan starts at 8 for Nottingham. No sign of Joe Browning and the others getting a run out yet.

Charlie Thacker (ex Tigers) also starts for Notts

SAR to Coventry added.
Nice to see Olowofela on a pitch again. Even if only for a few minutes.
SAR to Coventry - company for Lewis - with a heavy heart I think both SAR and Lewis won't be Tigers next season :smt011

Well I am over the moon Freddie Burns is back. If Borthwick didn't think he was good enough he wouldn't have signed him. Looking forward to next season. :smt041 :smt041 :smt041

Re: Championship rugby

Should be interesting to watch the Nottingham v Coventry game on Saturday kick off 5.30 pm Lewis hopefully will get another start for Cov (going on his past form for them it shouldn't be an issue, he's playing really well for them) and hopefully Browning will get to play for Nottingham along with th...

Re: Re-Shaping Leicester Tigers

I'm really happy with the progress of the club since Borthwick's arrival. Enjoyed last night's episode. However I feel for the players who have missed out on opportunities due to the last few years coaching. Some good younger players have missed out on Borthwick's magic and I feel for them. If he ha...

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch

I heard Sam Lewis did well...does anyone have access or links to highlights of the game ? Nothing out there yet, presume it will be on either Cov's or Doncaster's facebook page soon. Lewis did play well. There were some dodgy line outs but their hooker didn't have a good day at the office. Coventry...

For me neither party comes our of this looking good, sour grapes from the club for me in that Press Release. I hope he can make a go of it somewhere he obviously has talent. If it was disciplinary, I would not expect to see praise and thanks. Only the player and the club know the actual facts and t...

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch

Sam Lewis starts at 6 tomorrow 6pm for Coventry game v Doncaster 2 starts in a row in the championship and 2 starts and a bench in the friendlies - good lad, they must like him at Coventry. Better than the tiny bench appearances he had in the re-start last year for us. At last he's getting a chance...

One thing I did notice, no Tom Youngs on the renewal list. Isn’t he out of contract end of this season?
A lot of the players re-signed last summer for more than 1 year so won't be announced, think this included Tom Youngs. Certainly incluced White, Olowofela, Worth, Kerr

South Africa Tigers it is then. Not sure what to think but if it means Tigers move up the table then I suppose that's all the matters doesn't it? Just a smattering from the academy to keep everyone happy that the youngsters are still coming through and let most of the academy from Murphy's/Cockerill...

Re: Tigers on Loan Watch

I am looking forward to seeing how young Sam Lewis develops. The young man needs game time, he’s a bit random and unorthodox but that’s also something to be celebrated. I have ready many posts stating how he needs to bulk up to match the Premiership ...how about getting strong enough to be better ....

SB is from the Eddie Jones school- you are either in or out. Have heard he can be quite marmite - think Taufua was the same as Gigena. Not saying that’s a bad think but I know some players have been taken aback by how direct and demanding he is. Have heard the same - he seems to have come in and pu...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Half time and same number of penalties conceded. Possesion 74% to Bristol 26 to us.

Stand outs for me are Reffell and Heyes.

Come on Tigers - if we hadn't missed those penalty kicks we'd have 9 points.
