If there is a rift between the coaching staff then Wheeler needs to step in now and decide who he wants to keep. If ML is responsible for the current tactics I'd not be keen on him staying. As for the new signings, I don't remember any real complaints at the time, they all seem to be pretty useful p...

Mauger has been a disappointment, perhaps he is not fully fit in which case why was he playing? We had Smith on the wing and Varndell on the bench.

When things start to go wrong he gives the impression of being like a rabbit caught in the headlights, unable to make a game changing decision. The only comment I saw from him was the need to think about two teams, one for the EDF one for the Bath game, sounds like lack of focus. I was a enthusiasti...

I do wonder if he was pressed into service for England before he was fully fit.

Tigers lack a truly outstanding fly-half, a position that has a critical role in the overall performance.

Of all the No10's I've seen this season the one English player I've been most impressed with is Shane Geraghty, any chance Tigers might recruit him?

According to an article in the Times The atmosphere of frustration and unrest in the England dressing-room is such that some players, from at least two clubs, are considering making themselves unavailable to play for their country. Given the role Rob Andrew had in the reappointment of Ashton despite...

Many people have now backed up Cipriani's story, he dropped off a couple of tickets on his way home. He didn't have a drink (he rarely drinks). It was his day off I really can't see why Ashton felt the need to drop him, a quite word would seem a more appropriate response. The interviews with Edwards...

Edit, Just realised the date on the story is 2004!! Why the Times should think it is still news I don't know? ===================================== The Times is reporting that Baron is top of the list to take over from Tim Lamb at the ECB. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/cricket/article465309...

Excellent News! Harry played in the first half of tonight's Academy game and came through well, even though the opposition were not what the England player is used to facing. He was in good form in the bar afterwards, telling people that he had no problems. However, it's a big step up to Guinness ga...

"even read an article where Jack Rowell apparently identified the struggle BA would have becoming a manager"

Do you have a link to the article?

Only listened to first 60 mins on the radio.
Was Dan Hipkiss given a run out?

Why did Varndell never touch the ball?

Re: Josh Lewsey

So, what does he have to do to prove that he is worthy of the England full-black shirt? Picking on recent form and experience, he is head and shoulders ahead of flaky Balshaw. There seems to be some blatant favouritism at work in the selection process. I wonder if Lewsey was one of the "senior...

You have three players in the pack (Vickery, Regan and Easter) who can't be fit enough to play a full match at international level, which means any injuries could have a dramatic effect in the last 20 mins. Payne has never looked international standard. In the backs we have Balshaw is second choice ...

England backs

I think only 2 of the backs in the squad are from the top 4 clubs in the Guinness premiership, those two being Balshaw (Glos second choice full-back behind Morgan) and Vainikolo (not yet played 12 games of union).
If you are going to select from mid-table mediocrity then what do you expect?
