Re: Newcastle v Tigers - Oh no just gets worse its Greg Garn

I lost count of the things that angered me about that performance(?), lack of poise, accuracy etc, but one thing stood out above all for me. How many times does Greg Garner have to ref Tigers before they learn how to play him. Okay he is arguably the most inept ref in the AP but Tigers seemed intent...

Re: Advice on Paris

By the way, did you hear about the mad bloke in Paris who jumped into the river?

He was in Seine!

Re: Round 5/6 Fixtures - Usual third rate treatment of fans

Just called ticket office to find out when tickets are on sale for Paris and was told they are taking bookings now so got mine booked. Please note ticket office closes at 1pm if you want to get yours now.

Re: Tigers v Munster

You never want to take any win for granted but I'm sure we'd all be disappointed if Tigers don't get a 5 pointer at home to Treviso which would give us 19 points in the pool with next week and Stade away to come. The pool isn't ours yet but Tigers are in a very strong position.

Well done lads!

Re: Stade Francais away fixture date/time?

Got Eurostar departure booked for Friday morning and returning Monday morning so all things being equal I should be covered. Also got a ticket for PSG v Angers but as the grounds are right next to each other they will play on different days. Really looking forward to it :smt001

Re: Tigers v Bath - Free To Air on BT Sport

Not our finest hour but you have to applaud Tigers guts and determination, that was great to see. I'd be interested to know who on the Bath side made the decision to kick to touch late in the game, didn't they realise a successful pen would have given them a LBP? (Not that I'm complaining of course ...

Re: Hope the relatives of our visitors are OK - Paris attack

Not sure who you'd have to speak to but I was wondering if it was possible to have some Tigers/Stade half and half scarves made for fans going to the return game in Paris to wear as a gesture of solidarity with the Parisiens.

Re: Stade Francais

I for one will be offering Dupuy a warm reception on his return. He deserves it if only for THAT try at the Crisp Bowl.
Agreed, I have an autographed picture of that try on my wall, was sorry to see him go.

Ref for Sunday

Ref for Sundays game is Tom Foley. As I was unfamiliar with the name I did a quick check and found that his 1st premiership game was last seasons Wasps v London Welsh @ Cov.

Does anyone know if he ref'd Tigers last season?

Re: Hard luck Scotland

I have long believed that this 'offence' should be downgraded to a free kick only as the vast majority of the time it is an instinctive reaction and not a deliberate infringement. I did also wonder whether an NFL style challenge system could be brought in. Give the coach/DOR 2 challenges per game (1...

Re: Newcastle home Dec 26th - London travellers

I guess I wasn't expecting there to be no trains at all bearing in mind that public transport has become more prevalent in recent years as more and more stores start their sales on Boxing Day instead of January. National Express appear to be running a coach service that day so that would be an option.

Newcastle home Dec 26th - London travellers

I've just looked at the East Midlands trains website to check out train fares for the Falcons game on December 26th only to find that there are no trains from London that day. I usually see a few fellow Tigers fans when I travel so I know it will affect quite a few supporters. I know it's Boxing Day...

Re: Stade Francais Away

My last couple of trips to Paris we've stayed at a Citadines, a chain of hotels which are usually good. They have kitchen areas in the rooms and also have a decent buffet breakfast for a little extra cost. I'm planning to book one for January.
