Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Many excited by our new signings. We have signed a South African Under20's player to add to our home produced English and Welsh Under 20's who are not getting much game time. We have gone to a poor Ospreys team for a prop not selected for the Wooden Spoon winning Welsh side and we have gone to the a...

Re: World Rugby reveal radical plan
Over the years I have seen so many amendments to the laws of the game few of them achieved the desired aim as the first thought of a coach is how to nullify or take advantage of the new situation. Since the intervention of referees to call set, engage etc the formation of a scrum takes longer, the r...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
The signing of Beers may turn out to be a great signing but I feel some are getting over excited by the signing of a player we know nothing about. I applaud the club in signing young players and developing them but that takes time, the Premiership is a tough place to learn your trade and there are n...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45
If Anthony Watson were fit and well.I would have him.on the wing for our best team but I assume he is unavailable. Kata to me is a threat ball in hand but he does not distribute a lot, with Kelly, Scott, Cokanasiga and Porter all Premiership quality centres I think our best team is with Kata on the ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45
If Ben Youngs is fit he must start. If Steward is available should be in at 15. Personally i.would go with OHC and Kata on the wings with Kelly and Scott in the centre although I have no problem if one of the spaces is occupied by Cockanasiga. If Chessum and Martin are fit and available then they st...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
Smith did give Hayes a tough time by scrummaging illegally, Hurd came on having watched from the airlines and no doubt been advised how to counter the tactics and Smith was no longer so effective. I think it was a part of our young props education. Smith is a decent prop but I am not sure he is bett...

I often go into Costas in Oadby, in the past it was regularly used by younger Tigers players and occasionally by other Tigers people. However more recently it seems they go elsewhere, there have been other coffee house open up in the area but whether or not the players use them instead I dont know. ...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
In our sport.young men and their wives are often playing in a country not of their birth, they have children born in that country and then at the end of their contract return home, to what nation do their children belong? The same applies to many in other professions, the rules as they stand need ch...

Sapajo, I think I remember the Forum of which you speak, if I am correct the guy that spoke was called Keith, he sat near the front wearing a bow tie. He had indicated that he wished to speak. He is or was a passionate Tigers fan, he moved away from Leicester during lockdown due to be near his daugh...

Re: New Supporters Forum?
If you had got off your backside and attended the Forum you could have asked them. Your problem seems to be that nobody asked the questions that you wanted answers to, the people there got answers to the questions asked, maybe not the answers they wanted but an answer never the less. I don't suppose...

Re: New Supporters Forum?
Murphy got the job after O'Connor was sacked following the debacle at Exeter. By the following season it was known that Borthwick would be joining us after the World Cup so Murphy continued with a squad minus all its international players. The search to replace Cocker and Mage was a couple of years ...

Re: International Eligibility
I think I agree grandparent rule should go. Country of birth, nationality of parent plus 5 year residency with citizenship should do the job. I do think a full cap for any country should mean not playing for a second country but it dies seem a little unfair that a young player maybe gifted a few min...

Re: New Supporters Forum?
The questions raised at open forums were definitely not previously vetted nor were the questioners plants. Obviously there were occasions when concerns had been expressed publicly by many and the club knew and were prepared for the question but they did not know who would raise the matter of to wher...
