The Tigers business model

This is being discussed as a side line in several threads but I think it warrants one on its own as it is not just down to the CEO, DoR or even the board totally. A fan owned PLC with no Sugar Daddy seems to be the holy grail of business models for fans, if the income is sufficient to allow financin...

Re: High tackles

Yes,ducking into a tackle or accidentally slipping seems to be a grey area currently and this will make it a "yellow" area. It goes back to intent of the player. Hard fast hits that can miss the chest and swinging arms once a defender has been stepped will become very risky. This may lead ...

Re: Is it now time to thank Cockers?

I really do not know what to think about Saturdays performance. I was due to be in Ireland on Friday and was going to stay over for the match. As it was domestic arrangements deemed I changed my plans and went over and back on Tuesday. I am glad it turned out that way as it would have been a waste o...

Re: George Ford

Premiership rugby and thus Tigers are a business but businesses that mess around with the emotions of employees do not , in general, perform well in the long term. I do not know what went in a t Bath in relation to Sam Burgess and other players leaving but the suggestion made is the Mike Ford "...

Re: George Ford

I had not listened to any rugby supporters podcasts prior to last week but downloaded a few episodes of egg chasers to listen to whilst doing some travelling for work. It is quite entertaining but they are semi well connected. One is radio DJ who does announcing at Sale and sone interviewing for TV ...

Re: Tigers v Quins

I think criticism of O'Connor for giving away penalties is a bit unfair. A 7 needs to be on the edge of the law (I am a qualified ref so see a few at a lower level). He turned back some turnovers today in an bit of an unorthodox fashion but got away with it. For one penalty the ref said hands off 7 ...
