Re: Niall Morris rejoins Leinster
He really did 'choose' an unfortunate time to be injured didn't he. I was a huge fan but with the likes of Vianu, Peterson, Thompstone, Betham, Tate etc it was no wonder Tigers realised that he had a hard way back and released him so he could actually get the game time he deserved. Given Leinster's ...

It always amused me that Vimto is an anagram of vomit - quite appropriate really!Iain wrote:That is revolting. You should be ashamed of yourself.Doghashadhisday wrote:Errr Jack Daniels and Vodka?

Re: Matt Toomau
Watched Brumbies v Reds yesterday and he looked quite sharp: was interesting to see that although he didn't place kick he did take all the other re-start kicks - kick offs, 22s, kicks for touch/corner etc. Two potential problems he'll have in England though: 1. Like all the players on the field he a...

He was still serving at the time he retired from Rugby - left Tigers in 1997, retired 1998 and left RAF in 1999.Stu_F wrote:.. I think Rory had left the RAF by the time the game went professional and from memory he did used to miss significant chunks of some seasons due to RAF duties.

Re: Champions Cup draw - 2016-2017
Actually all the groups are tough - a simple result of the reduction from 24 to 20 teams (with possible exception of the group with Zebre but even they were no push-over last season).
Ours is the sort of group where we could have some excellent performances and still fail to qualify!

Re: Brexit fallout for rugby
Sticking to the actual theme of the thread there are a number of scenarios: 1. Any future employment legislation will be broadly similar to the current in the long run and there will be little actual change. 2. Or all the current exceptions which make overseas quotas virtually meaningless will no lo...

Re: Matt Toomau
Its clear to me neither Toomua or Pietersen were going to be here for pre season nor indeed the start of the new season. To have 2 such big name signings subject to this arrangement through out their tenure at Tigers is at best inconvenient but no doubt was a contractual precondition. If Marcus is ...
