Re: Wayne Barnes

I suspect that doing Prem games would not be a problem to him , wheras travelling all over the World to do Internationals does involve a lot of time away from job and family . I seem to recall that he is a Lawyer in quite a specialised field so money will not be a problem . He's the best of the bunc...

Re: Tigers vs Bath

Amazed that Simmons still does not get a game . Perhaps our esteemed Coaching Team think Harrison and White are playing well ??

Completely agree Dangerous . Injury prone , poor defence - a very average player on the basis of what we have seen this season . Will be lucky to get his contract renewed .

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

it doesn't matter how many new signings we get unless we start to play as a team . We need to have a playing style and skill levels that are coached from Academy level through to 1st Team - one day we might then become a Saracens or Exeter again .

Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

The one standout has been the lack of a consistent gameplan which everyone understands and follows - we have many talented individuals but no team . Too many of our forwards can do only 1 job - e.g Cole scrummaging , Kitchenor lineout - and lack so many of the all round skills now expected of a top ...

Over Cole on his present form . Scrummages well still , but in open play a penalty machine who gets in the way .

Re: George Ford

Quite agree RBull - just another average back rower . George Ford has kept us afloat this Season and should be the onfield Captain if available . I would make Guy Thompson the Club Captain - OTY has had his time and does not merit a starting spot now .

Re: Another Tigers player to be a Tigers coach?

I'm not sure I have a problem with retired Tigers players helping out with Coaching at a lower level , but I do have a problem with Senior Coaches having little or no experience of Coaching at Tigers or anywhere else . I think you need a strong outsider to be Head Coach -- who will bring both new id...

Re: Quins vs Tigers

For me Harrison sums up Leicester's problems - commitment excellent but limited talent . Can't kick , indecisive, always passes and no threat to the opposition - that's probably why he's not been able to nail down a 1st choice spot in all the years he's been playing . Look at the other scrum halves ...

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

To be fair to Bristol - exactly the same side beat Sarries last week - they can't be too bad . Too many on hear go on reputation rather than performance and too many Tigers players are elevated to 'greatness' on the basis of a bright cameo rather than consistently excellent showings .IMO only Ford a...
