Re: Are you ready??

Good interview with Mike Ford on LTTV. I'm sure all those on here who struggle to see anything positive are readying themselves to read between every line and dismiss this as another disaster for the club. Looking forward to it :smt015 I thought so too. Didn't give anything away. Very measured and ...

Re: Mike Ford is joining/WRU block Edwards bid/Glynn getting sacked

It would've been alarming if the higher-up's just sat on their hands, so fair play for realising we have a real problem. I'm happy to give Mike Ford a chance - right now, we need all the help we can. My concern is the effect this may have on GM, a new head coach who needs to stamp his authority on ...

Re: next manager

The way I see it is, if we were to bring in a DOR, it is basically demoting Murphy or not going to make a difference to how the team perform. We either have a DOR who does what Cockerill did who picks the team, sets the team up how he wants etc etc in which case Murphy is going back to his old role...

Re: next manager

I'm confused as to why people want a DOR. It takes away from the plan that Murphy has in place. I think a lot of supporters wouldn't turn their noses up at a DOR who kept tigers in the top half of the premiership. I also think that recent comments suggest that supporters wouldn't turn their noses u...

Re: next manager

It would be common sense and logical to bring in Mike Ford to save our season. After all GM has made a pigs ear of it because certain players are not giving 100% whatever anyone says... Get the 2 Fords to sort out this unedifying mess. GM needs back up. Mike Ford knows what the problems are, he's s...

Re: next manager

Bring back Cockers? Are you mad? It was him that started the slide. He was way out of his depth as HC/DOR. If he was out of his depth than how did he manage to lead Tigers to Champions in 2013? I can understand the argument that the 09-10 season was more down to inheriting the squad etc, but to win...

Re: Relegation

For me, last night’s match was the straw that finally broke the camels back! A spineless performance against our greatest rivals. It hurts to say it, but Geordan Murphy cannot continue as head coach. Someone with proven experience needs to be appointed now! Sean Edwards and Mike Ford are possibilit...

Re: Tigers v Saints

See this is what you get when one coach is world class and the other has just been given the job because he's played for the club before! Harsh but true! So obvious. At the level to which Tigers aspire, nous and experience is what's needed. It's not only lacking now, but there's not even a vision o...

Re: Tigers v Saints

Feel bad for Joe Ford, booted straight out of the 23. He's held his head up and done his best in some awful team performances recently, deserves his spot far more than Owen and arguably Toomua. + another one. His recent, much better performances could well have come from a rise in confidence, which...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

#1. 10 is the most important position on the field so you must play your best flyhalf there irrespective of axes or centres or 'strategies' or whatever. #2. Ford is England's best flyhalf. Er...that's it! [/quote] Cipriani is undoubtedly England's best 10 and has been for many years! His omission is...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

First, Ben well deserves all the accolades for his achievements. He has been an outstanding No. 9, but it's time I think, for him to change his game, or hang up his international boots. He still occasionally tries the tap penalties, and the sniping runs he's famous for, but they're not working enoug...

If Ford had come on earlier it would have been a win.
I agree. 10 minutes was only just long enough to get the draw. Farrell had gone off the boil well before that. EJ has without doubt improved players, but I don't rate his game management.
