Re: England squad
That was in the early days when there was no salary cap in place. Squads with more international call ups are now handicapped by the Salary cap and cannot afford those additional players, smaller squads now. May be wrong but I am not sure that the Autumn Internationals were a thing then and you wer...

Fine. Here it is in motion. https://twitter.com/jaredwright17/status/1611485431241101350 Clearly dropping his height, and both arms coming round to wrap. Honestly, I know we don't like Sarries, but I think some people just see what they want to see sometimes. I sort of know what you mean, but I gue...

Re: Other fixtures - 06th to 08th January 2023
There is no doubt the officials made a mistake. This is mostly down to Dickson. IMHO if the TMO wants to show him a replay he should accept that it’s important and review it. That said, while that they made a mistake in the heat of the moment, let’s not forget it is Farrell who is the bad guy here, ...

I know there was maybe still is concern over the carcinogenic effect if inhaling rubber crumb when in close contact with the artificial surface. My son coaches an under 15's soccer team in Linlithgow and they often play and train on an artificial surface, he thinks differently to me about them but ...

Re: Other fixtures - Christmas Weekend 2022
In giving only two weeks, the disciplinary committee has effectively congratulated Marler for top Bantz. Should have been 12 weeks with no reduction. Family members have to be out of bounds. It’s supposed to be a professional sport, but yet again the games officials have brought the sport into dis-r...

Re: New Borthwick England
Lawes as captain, cracking player in second or back row, leads by example, you can’t drop Farrell he is world class but not a great captain, bring In Spencer as a scrum half and drop Youngs, he is just not international standard any more, Smith is a bit erratic but when on form a very talented play...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Surely, any loan from a private bank would need to be underwritten by the government. Any debt incurred by the government is in effect a liability against the taxpayer. Put simply, because of Wasps, the tax payer would have to pay an additional sum to maintain the same level of services. That’s not...

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
Nonsense. Our taxes return to the Treasury fund. 'taxpayer' is a myth. Any monies used in any of the process is either private bank created or government created/recycled. Doesn't stop this being a stitch up though. Surely, any loan from a private bank would need to be underwritten by the governmen...

Re: Shape of the game
Speeding the game up is probably a good thing. I’d actually also like to see the game extended to 90 minutes rather than 80, this will help move focus away from bulk back towards fitness and skill.

Re: Wasps in the mire - now in administration
TBH of the two I have far more sympathy for Worcester, and hope Steve Diamond is allowed to rescue the club. As for Wasps, I can’t help thinking they stole tens of millions of pounds. It would now be for the best for the sport if they were just to be cancelled. Better clubs have been treated far wor...

Re: Tigers v Bristol Bears (A) - Saturday 03rd December 2022 KO 8-00pm
So violence met by violence, not a good thing!!! It kept the sneaky stuff out the game. I really don’t think it did. The only thing that has helped cut out the sneaky stuff is the scrutiny of multiple cameras. As we have those views it’s clear there was contact with the eye area although I did wond...
