Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
I like Locky but I kind of understand why Tigers are looking for something different. I think Tigers have missed players like Deacon, players that can physically dominate and bully the opposition. Too often last season it looked like we weren't playing at the same physical intensity as the other top...

Re: New Signings !!!! I am totally under whelmed
What would be interesting is to look at the starting line ups of the top 4 sides and see how many Tigers would make it in to each team. If we took Tigers v's Exeter which of the following Tigers would lose their spot? 1: Genge 2: Youngs 3: Cole 4: Barrow 5 Kitchener 6: Williams 7: BOC 8: Kalamafoni ...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2016/17 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread
Everyone keeps saying we need a quality backup at 10 and centre. If I were a promising 10 or centre I would only go to a club where I had a decent chance of forcing myself into the starting team (I certainly wouldn't go to a club where I needed an injury to get any game time as whilst our centres ha...

Re: How do we beat Wasps?
Don't give their backs any space. Don't give Wade, Daly and Beale dog legs to attack Try and build an early score (I think if we get ahead Wasps might crumble. They are not use to this position and having finished top the pressure is on them. It will also keep the crowd quiet) Get our big men runnin...

Re: Exeter won't win the Premiership
I would much rather Saracens win against Clermont. Firstly I would always support an English team but also there are a number of English (and soon to be Lions) playing for Saracens and learning to win these big games stands the national team in a good place.

Re: Exeter won't win the Premiership
Exeter have lost one and drawn one v Saracens in the league. They finished above Saracens and are at home in the semi-final. I'd say its even money going into the game. They've been under the radar as they went about their business. If they win the semi, I'd be surprised if they lost the final. Exe...

Re: Exeter won't win the Premiership
I think Exeter are a well drilled team who perform well regularly. I just don't think they have the star power to outdo Saracens. What Exeter are good at Saracens are better at. The main threat to Saracens IMO is Wasps as they have the backs to play at enough speed to get outside Saracens and also t...

Re: Team v Wuss??
TV not out for season - touch and go for Saturday, but will be available for semi should we get one. Has strained ligaments under his foot and into his toe - the boot is only there to keep weight off the foot... Sounds like a bit of Plantar Fasciitis which I am suffering from at present and it is n...

Re: What team for the Clash
You would have to go for Tait. More big game experience, offers greater cover and a good boot for a big pitch.

Re: Ireland vs England
Might also have something to do with Daly and Watson both having spent time playing 15. Playing against Ireland we can expect lots of high balls to field and a back three that can pendulum and are all very comfortable under the high ball will be critical. Daly has the added benefit of his boot which...

I actually think Brown will soon be phased out of the England team. I think EJ sees Daly as the future at 15 with Watson coming back on the wing.

Re: Jack Roberts leaving us
Can't blame the lad. Ultimately if are two front line centres are fit he would never get a look in. I know we have been unlucky this past season or so with injuries at centre but it is quite possible both go through next season with no injuries in which case Jack would see hardly any game time. Cent...

Re: Times report Ford on his way to Tigers
Freddie had also had lots of coaching over the years but that didn't stop his improvement. We must remember that George's body has changed a lot since his late teens. He has put on a fair bit of bulk compared to how he use to be so this will impact his body dynamics in kicking. A bit of fine tuning ...
