Re: Where is dailywaffle ?
Cool, thanks for that ! I hooked up with him a couple of times at Twickenham, Cardiff and Welford Road...nice bloke and just wondering if he was still posting that's all. :smt023 Thank you, very nice of you to say so. I found the forum to be increasingly unusable owing to the domination of all thre...

Re: Heineken Cup Squad
That list was on the erc website weeks ago,I don't think that is our Heineken Squad. That is , I think, just a list of players on our books, you will see there's one for every club.I've been watching it for weeks, hoping for a"scoup".Tigers may well have not listed their team yet. I'm sure ...

The absence of Louis Deacon from the HEC squad, despite the inclusion of the injured Blaze and Parling, doesn't concern you?TTRITH wrote:Isn't that just our first team squad anyway...

Re: Sale win
Sale's philosophy of playing on a Friday night is very deliberate and was announced some years ago. They believe that it gives them a much greater footprint in that part of the country than would be the case if they played on a Saturday afternoon. They understand their market, and the competition fr...

Re: ESPN Vs Sky......who wins?
ESPN is a refreshing change having watched Sky for a number of years. I have become frustrated and angered by the obvious bias against us by messrs Barnes and Morris I particularly object to their continuous reference to deliberate cheating and the one eyed view of our supporters. I would like to t...

Re: Ref link
I wouldn't be surprised if the Club had decided against RefLink this season because of the number of people on here who did nothing but moan about it. There always seemed to be someone saying their reception wasn't good enough, or that it cost too much etc. Ironically RefLink was massively improved...

All logical, and I agree with the first three.tb1 wrote:Toby, Ben Youngs, Chuter, Woods
Despite our lack of depth at 7, I'd probably swap Woods for Ayerza.

Re: Leinster game
Starters, IMO, rating above a '6':
Hamilton
Allen
Tuilagi
Ayerza
Green
Skivington
Newby
Waldrom
Difficult to get too excited given the limited opposition, but I thought that Waldrom had an excellent Welford Road debut.
Biggest impact off the bench from those trying to take a starting spot - Hipkiss.

Re: Tigers banned from Tweeting
The quote from Cockers is not clear as to what the club wants - a total ban or just about the rugby side of things : "He is banned from Tweeting. None of our players will be Tweeting or Facebooking anything about Leicester Rugby Club ever again." So which is it ? I think its pretty clear ...

Re: CAT stand - atmosphere at last !
Can't say as I noticed any difference. The CAT atmosphere was OK for a pre-season match, but (from my position) certainly no better than a typical regular season match. Superb views and the best seating in the ground remain the CAT stand's main assets. Atmosphere is something of an occasional extra.

Re: Salary cap modifications
Those figures, i believe, are for every memebr of staff, not just playing staff, e.g. physios, coaches, doctors, stewards, office staff, board memebrs, PR, management and everything else that makes a club tick... so its barely a fair comparisson. Indeed. Those mega-budgets for the likes of ST, ASM,...

The gate, whilst not specifically referenced in the Laws, is common parlance in the tackle zone.TigerAlex wrote:Bill W (2) wrote:If there is only you and the tackled player there ain't no ruck and there ain't no gate!

Re: Referees - new directives!
In the instance Tiger Alex mentions, no tackle has occurred, it's just the normal rip situation. If you can retain the ball, or deny it to the ripper by simply falling to the deck then the interpretation is total :censored:. Don't shoot the messenger, and don't be surprised if you are pinged for no...

Re: Referees - new directives!
I was just wondering about this scenario which in the past has enabled me to turnover the ball. If I was a defender and the attacking player with the ball came towards me, say in a pick and go situation, and I grabbed the ball (not the player) and tried to rip it, and the ball carrier goes to groun...

Re: Tigers banned from Tweeting
That most media friendly of leagues, the NFL, has strict rules on tweeting. Chad Ochocinco (wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals) was recently fined a cool $25,000 for breaching said regs.
Tigers reaction is quite understandable.
