Re: new kit blog from Canterbury
The thing is, no matter what new kit the clubs bring out there are going to be dislikes, grumbles and "I don't like that". I have have been guilty myself. Didn't like the new darker green when it came out to replace the old bright green. Didn't like it when they removed the crest from shir...

Re: new kit blog from Canterbury
Actually from speaking to a few of the players at last nights event, most liked it and the rest weren't really bothered either waySmudge wrote:You notice that none of the players chosen to model are smiling?

Re: new kit blog from Canterbury
I think the tiger pattern looks quite mean and fierce and will add to the fear of opposing sides coming to the den of Welford Road.
At least it's got a unique tigers identity and not a run of the mill Canterbury shirt like Wasps or Cardiff Blues

I personally liked the CT Euro shirt but apparently not a big hit with some of the players

Re: new kit blog from Canterbury
I got to preview it last night at a Tigers event and thought it looked great. I can't believe it has had such a bad response on this forum. As was said in a previous post this is a modern shirt for a modern club. Seems to me like old fart status is not just confined to the RFU.

Re: New fly-half
I agree that Goparth and Geraghty are both very good players and would do very well at Leicester. The only two down sides imo are that they would be looking to go to a club as a first choice player, not third and we already have Flood in the England setup, we are grooming Ford who is already in the ...

New fly-half
As we know Billy and Staunts are leaving the club at the end of the season, I would think it looks likely that we will be hiring a new fly-half for next season. Anybody have any ideas about who is available? It's going to be a bit tricky with how they're going to play the progression of George Ford'...

Re: A Deafening Silence
I think Friday night's game reiturates the fact that English clubs by and large are not able to compete with the current Salary Cap restrictions. It has become a complete farce and until the RFU do something about it, Ireland & France will continue to dominate the Heineken Cup. We were playing a...

Re: 'Jonah Lomu's Rugby Challenge' new video game
I have been after a rugby game for PS3 for ages. Then two come along at once. Rugby Challenge looks good and although Tigers is licenced, this game looks too southern hemisphere orientated. Looking at the website, the commentary is done by Grant Nesbitt & Justin Marshall, both New Zealanders and...

Re: Is this really an England Team?
What about the All Blacks. Most of them are not New Zealand born and are poached from the South Pacific Islands. Malili Muliaina - Salelesi, Samoa Isaia Toeava - Moto’otua, Samoa Josevata Rokocoko - Nadi, Fiji Jerome Kaino - American Samoa The Aussies are worse. Players not born in Australia:- Georg...

Re: CAT Stand Match Day Atmosphere
I have sat in the members/CAT stand for 23 years now, starting when I was 11. No one do the maths, please. I love it there, for actually watching the game, but the atmosphere has always been dreadful. It has been said that Tigers' have the best supporters in the Premiership, but if you looked at mos...

Re: Well Cockers!!
I think it's a bit strong to ask for Cockers' head, but I would like to ask him a few questions about Saturday. These are namely:- 1. Why won't he play Thomas Waldrom and Rob Hawkins from the start? They are the better players in those positions. Why has he dropped Waldrom to the bench ever since he...

Re: Flood may be out for months
I usually like to stay positive about my posts on here, but I'm not a big fan of Jeremy Staunton. Yes he helped us out of a tight spot last season but in my opinion he is an average no 10 and the best club in the world in an even more competitive season needs to have a top class playmaker. I am also...
