Re: "Canon Arm" Technique

As long as the knee doesn't touch the floor the tackle isn't complete. Surely the best way to get around this is to start targeting the ball. They've got one arm on the floor so the ball is tucked under the other. That assumes a tackle is being made and is the ruse being used. But if there is no ta...

Re: "Canon Arm" Technique

Surely they are ‘off feet’ as they are no longer fully supporting their body weight with their feet (the same principle is frequently applied at the breakdown). I remember it as a penalty offence to deliberately go to ground/off-feet without being tackled/to avoid being tackled. Isn’t that still the...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

Wade sounds like his own biggest fan so probably wouldn’t fit in with Tigers culture. Same was said about Ashton and Brown and a few others before they came in. Thing is, Wade may have overstated it but in principle he might be right. He scored 82 tries in seven seasons in the premiership which he ...

And Liam Williams should at least be in the bin if not red carded for that challenge in the air. Launched himself 3m away from the Italian w no realistic chance of making a catch.

Re: 6 Nations 2023

And for me Cannone was clearly in goal when he took the maul down for the pen try. TMO said he took it down but never looked at where he was - feet clearly in goal.

Re: 6 Nations 2023

I’m with you mol2. For me when fit Ford is clearly the most able of the three to unlock defences, put players through holes, manage the momentum and field position of the team, with only his vulnerability to heavyweight runners at him as a downside (and this often overstated- he’s much better at his...

I think the problem with URC is the fact it has 2-3 different club/region models across all the countries.
What difference does that make?

Bristol ahead at Saracens.... if they win tge bottom of the table is not very far away from is at all :smt009 They didn’t win though. As it is we are in 7th, 8 points ahead of 11th, 6 points ahead of 10th but only 3 points behind the team in 4th. That team is Saints to whom we ceded 3 league points...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2022/23 - Prisoner of Oadby Pre-Season

Cap goes up next season Pretty sure it’s the 2024/25 season And that’s if it goes up at all. Andrea widely quoted as saying the league’s financial state means it can’t afford for the cap to rise - and then there’s the very odd email this week from the club saying it needs to ‘lean’ into STHs in the...

For the try - There was a big dive over by Falcons at the first ruck after the line out that stopped us getting to the ball which was available.
