Re: England Team v Los Pumas
I don't have a problem between Hartley and George. Both will play a significant part and if you assume both will play then most will agree Hartley is probably better to start as he offers leadership, experience and will get stuck in. George coming off the bench against a more tired team will offer h...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
Having gas on both our wings allows you to do this with more comfort and use the touchline as your final man. Absolutely, just ask TV.... The last time Exeter scored less points in a Premiership game was about a year ago. If we are only prepared to accept a defensive strategy if it nils the current...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I think Tigers were playing a tighter strategy as Exeter enjoy huge success in repeated quick breaks round the fringes (which they didn't get much joy out of at the weekend). Maybe we trusted our drift defence to cover the numbers? Having gas on both our wings allows you to do this with more comfort...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
Because they got an advantage - a try. It’s like Salvi’s yellow card. We were offered a penalty where Salvi offended or we could let Exeter have the lineout on their 5 m line. We chose the lineout as we deemed that the better option but the ref did ask our captain which he would prefer. I can’t reme...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I think that would be classed as a knock on. The closer you get to catching it the better your chances.

Re: Time for a rest?
We are entering a period where we can really make a push and claim some points. Dropping points over the next few games would be a real waste. I agree we need to rest players but I don't think it would be great to suddenly change two thirds of our team. Rest a couple of players each game. Keep the c...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I totally agree it was without doubt a fantastic win, but there is a lot still to be improved on, but we are playing like we want to play for the team which is a huge step forward This is the big thing for me ..... the players are coming across more committed and determined. When we were stuck defe...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
I certainly don't think Exeter played badly against us. They did what they normally do in that they kept recycling the ball to slowly break teams down. Difference was that our defence stepped up several gears. We defended their rolling maul well and in open play we were regularly winning the contact...

Re: Tigers v Chiefs
No doubt it will be a tough game but we should expect to win every home game. I honestly believe if we play well we will win. They are a good unit (they have had a good amount of time to build that cohesion with being lucky on injuries and having few international call ups) but individually there ar...

Re: Tigers Vs Quins
With you, I think more than 5 to Quins, they have great backs, fantastic very hard working forwards with a real enforcer in their captain. :( I think we will be OK. Quins backs are good but if you blended the teams there would be more Tigers than Quins in the backs. Get our line out functioning and...

Re: Team Vs Treviso
The problem is whey would a decent young centre want to come to Tigers. If TnT remain fit then you will get next to no game time. I know people will say that they have a history of injuries but they are not the same injuries and no young exciting player would want to bet his next season on that reoc...

Re: May in; Slater out!
I think players like May are very valuable. Not just in attack but in defence opposition teams will be mindful of May's pace and his ability to hit on the counter off turnover and loose kicks. Too often in the past we have chipped away at teams like Wasps 3 points at a time. Now you feel we have a b...

I think Ford is better when surrounded by high calibre players. He will be able to get more out of the likes of Manu, Toomua, May etc

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
I don't know if it's been mentioned already but it might be that we have had to reign our budget back now some players are coming back from injury. We've had a lot of long term injuries and we would get dispensation within the cap - maybe we already spent it. If these players coming back would push ...

Re: The ultimate?
I see why they say it is the ultimate as there is a bigger player pool. Most UK internationals don't earn a Lions cap. Once you have been selected and can say you are officially a Lion you have reached the pinnacle of what you can achieve in terms of selection. That being said there is nothing like ...
