Re: Tigers v Northampton next Saturday
tiger_in_birmingham: tiny will play the full 80 if required as will his compadres hartley and mujati. they have all played less in recent weeks just so they can do that now we are in the knockout phase of the season, with 2 or 3 games to go. i am not so optimistic as to expect saints will be home an...

Re: Good luck to Northampton(one off)
in the spirit of neighbourliness evident (from most of you) on this thread, i present a joke: A guy goes into Leicester Rugby Club's ticket office and asks for two tickets for Leicester's Heineken Cup Semi Final match. The ticket chap says ‘Leicester are not in the semi finals’. A week later the guy...

Re: It this indicative of our current youth setup?
[As an exercise, I thought I'd have a look at the number of young home-grown players selected by the Premiership clubs. I decided to limit "young" to forwards born in 1988 (or later) and backs in 1989 (or later). So a young forward would be about 22 and a young back would be about 21. And...

Re: Leeds to stay up
If you count the players leaving at the end of this season you can make up an astounding 15 of players who have left Newcastle in the past few seasons: 1.Wilson 2.Brookes 3.Hayman 4.Parling 5.Sorensen 6. 7.Wood 8. 9.Young-Dickson 10.Wilkinson 11.O. Phillips 12.Flood 13.May 14.Amesbury/Biggs 15.M. T...

Re: Salary cap and Europe and Ireland......
we saints certainly had a bad run of form during the 6n, but only some & not all of that can be put down to the missing internationals. mallinder said as much explicitly. bear in mind the same group of players were missing in the autumn when we marched to the top of the table (only wood was avai...

if selected, shouldnt he start at the same time as everyone else - 3pm?tb1 wrote:The most tedious aspect of this discussion is that if Billy does start at 12 on Saturday then none of Cockers' detractors on this board will have the grace to admit they were wrong.

who's bow are you putting a shot across there, tigerbeat? as i wouldnt have said either side of the argument has crossed the boundaries of a civilised exhange of views as yet. just killing time until my lift to mk arrives. hopefully saints will get a better result than yourselves last night. COME ON...

i accept that absolutely, rizzo, which is why i took the time to insert the '(some of you)' clause into to my post to avoid making sweeping and negative statements about a numerous and inevitably varied group of people.

Re: Today's Game - Tigers v Leinster LIVE DISCUSSION HERE
tigers were always up against it today, away quarter finals are rarely won (something i'm hoping holds true tomorrow).
if its any consolation i think your chances of winning the league just went up another notch (unless saints get to that final too )

Re: Behaviour of Leinster 'Supporters'
i saw that leinster fan too, and agree it's not nice. neither was the sight of a tigers fan giving two fingers pitch ways when the (correct) decision not to award tuilagi's near try was indicated. the booing is neither here nor there - silence for both sides is a tradition at the minority of grounds...

Re: Saints win!
nottingham are tenants of notts county fc though, and primacy of tenure is one of the conditions. exceptions were made for existing prem clubs who are tenants - wasps, sarries, sale, irish - but it would block nottingham and some others coming up were they to win the playoffs. not fair, but how it is.

i wonder how many of the people criticising hartley lauded johnson when he did much the same snubbed the irish pm all those years back. i'm pretty sure i can guess how many will admit it on here.
