Re: Martin Corry Cited

not much of a smell of roses round this business, is there? holley & ospreys: however heartfelt the sense of grievance, airing it in the public domain as happened was poorly judged. the apology clearly doesnt satisfy some on here, but is quite sufficient to show talk of legal proceedings etc up ...

Re: European Challenge Cup

Also EDF Cup winners qualify for the HC if they are English so that will be Gloucester or Saints. I will be shouting for Blues or Ospreys in the EDF and Irish for the ECC so that the top 6 from the GP qualify for the HC next year. Seriously, Saints believe the only chance that they will qualify nex...

Re: Sending off - Azam

o'kelly's ban looks lenient - from what i saw it was a full on deliberate kick to the head. whatever your feelings about vickery that shouldnt be condoned. james ban looks a bit harsh - ok, head to head contact meant the red was the right call from the ref, but i'd have thought sufficient. azam's th...

Re: A Letter from Bristol.

imho, as a rule, william blessings posts take a bit more effort to read, but are usually a bit rewarding for exactly the same reason.

Re: What changes will Johnno make to the squad tomorrow?

as i understand it though, jgriffin, the club - country agreement only allows johnson to make 5 changes on form. anything else has to be alike for like injury replacement.

so which 5?

(p.s - hartleys in the eps anyway, just spent most of the autumn on the bench behind mears)

Re: Hartley should be cited

sometimes backs get tackled by forwards - thats rugby. having seen this again on telly, it seems to me that dupuy was extremely savvy to tap and go, and drew the defender (which happened to be hartley) before getting the ball away. hartley's tackle was a tackle, not high as it started on the chest a...

Re: Hartley should be cited

i believe this entire thread is fuelled by sour grapes.

losing gracefully is as big a piece of sportsmanship as winning gracefully.

plus there were several instances of foul play by tigers which shall go unremarked by me for now.

Re: How much worse can we get?

saints were better today, hungrier and less accident prone - thats why we won imho. other than that the try that was scored (great play by dupuy) was the only time tigers looked like scoring a try while saints were a liddle unlucky to not get a fourth given the time barnes blew up when we looked cle...

Re: Saints Game - the defining moment of our Season ?

http://www.northamptonsaints.co.uk/3831_5355.php follow the link, excuse the appalling grammar in use in the first sentence and you'll see that tomorrow is a busy day at the gardens. free hats: i can understand tigers fans wont be especially interested in a saints coloured wolly hat but if you live ...

Re: Northampton v Leicester

i reckon saints run at home will end before the season is out, but i have fingers crossed it wont be to you guys at the weekend. as it happens, it was bath who were lucky to get away with the draw. we crossed the line 5 times but david rose judged twice that we were held up. tv pictures didnt agree ...

Re: Northampton v Leicester

i think saturdays match will be a close affair, and obviously i'm looking to saints to win this (so a bit concerned that barnes has tipped us on his skysports piece) why do i think saints will finish on top at the weekend? i think we have developed and improved as a team even since our last visit to...

Re: Props

i think he was fully released - but his performances are catching the eye. i have heard contradcitory rumours that tigers have / havent got first refusal on him signing for a prem team. poor lad is sponsored by a bedford lingerie shop! (p.s its me, boondock, your (least?) favourite saints fan back a...
