Re: Worrying interview with Johnson.
I actually agree with MJ that most teams get their points from other teams mistakes. This could be anything from a wayward pass, missed tackle, bad positioning. There has always got to be some form of mistake by the defence to allow an attack to score. Must admit however that the mistakes made by t...

Worrying interview with Johnson.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/7877004.stm I've watched this interview a couple of times now and i can't decide if Johno is just trying to make the best of a bad performance or he really believes what he's saying. At about 1:43 minute mark he's asked about the fact that pretty much all ...

Re: no 7 england
Agreed, Skinner is a great out and out openside in the Niel Back mold. It seems ridiculous that he's not been called up by now.
And Haskell is definitely not an openside, not in a million years. I think he'll make a great blindside though, if he can cut out the stupidity in his game!

Re: Convert Tom Croft to a centre?
Why turn a world class back row player, into only a good centre? You're right, there would be no point at all in doing that. But who says he'd only be a good centre? What if he could be turned into an even better world class centre? As i said at the beginning anyway, just a thought, i don't expect ...

Re: Convert Tom Croft to a centre?
The point is that all flankers are definitely not in the croft mold, he's a bit of a one off and, while he definitely contributes well in the forwards (especially the line out), he may well contribute even more as a back. I admit that kicking may be an issue but who knows, he might be a decent kicke...

Convert Tom Croft to a centre?
Now I’m sure some will say it's far too late for Tom to change from being a flanker to centre now, and you may well be right. However, think about it for a minute, he is still young, has amazing pace, lots of power, decent hands, is good in defence and likes to run with the ball in hand. And he spen...

Re: Top 50 players in the world
Not pleasant reading for England supporters but having looked through the England squad there isn't anyone else I would have put in there. To be fair though, all the players they have selected have had years to demonstrate their talents on the big stage, which definitely can't be said for the majori...

Re: Cipriani seen?
How to be a media hyped-up little boy who gets an attractive female as his misses!! You can't really blame him for the media hype, or for Kelly Brooke, i think 99% of the hetrosexual male population would if they were given the chance. As for being arrogant, crack on, it's about time England produc...

Re: England squad
Disappointed Crane got dropped and not Narraway. 1. Sheridan 2. Mears 3. Stevens 4. Kennedy 5. Borthwick 6. Croft 7. Moody 8. Easter 9. Care 10. Cippers (Though it pains me to say it) 11. Sackey 12. Geraghty 13. D.Armitage 14. Monye 15. Foden 16. Vickery 17. Chutes 18. Shaw 19. Haskell 20. Flood 21...

Re: What changes will Johnno make to the squad tomorrow?
Didn't see the rugby club but i recon Croft and Moody should make the squad. Not sure that Crane will, he's not had much game time recently and Easter has been playing well (he's not injured is he?). There's definitely going to be a lot of competition for the back row places. Stefon Armitage could b...

Re: Tonights game
It's funny you should mention that, I was at a Wedding last weekend and got talking to a bloke who is good friends with Tom and Ben Youngs from school days. He told me that Meyer has told Tom that he won't make it as a centre but instead asked him to convert to being a hooker. Apparently he has sign...

Re: Vainikolo charged with GBH
Almost all early morning GBHs get downgraded by the time they get to court and often there is a very minor punishment. This is because it is difficult, even with CCTV, to establish who started an affray, and it may be complicated by something that is not physical but itself an offence, e.g. racist ...

Dissapointing faith in the old guard. Whilst wholesale changes are not good for continuity MJ has shown little to display that he is aware of the talent that exists in the premiership and shown too much faith in tried, tested and previously found wanting players (eg Shaw, Vickery, Borthwick). With ...

I still think Cipriani is very talented and, despite his abimsmal display on Saturday, he has the potential to be a great player. What he needs is experience and the only way he's going to get that is through playing internationals. I wouldn't blame Johnson for picking him again, it's the only way h...
