Re: stand up and stop other people see tries being scored
Why does it have to descend into rude comments about "tartan rug brigade" and the like? It's patently obviously that a disability or infirmity has nothing to do with the implied "anyone who stays sitting down is boring and old and therefore requires a tartan rug" digs at people....

Re: Castro confirms Tigers departure
It is one of those things. We know that RC and the board don't always handle things well, it is in the nature of things. I personally don't think that Castro's illness has helped! I feel sorry for the guy. I hope that he is not left off the team sheet for the final. He has always given 101%. I will ...

Re: Farrell will bounce back - Gatland
Gatland is as usual talking Kiwi-balls. You cannot coach what Farrell lacks - only maturity and a leg transplant would do that!

Pretty well what my Stains in-laws said on Sunday night.BJ. wrote:Artificial pitch, artificial team, artificial concept of what a successful rugby club should be. I was on the point of reaching for a sick bag when I saw their 'guard of honour' on Sunday.

If you buy a seat, sit in it.
If you want passion, shouting and so on, come in to the Crumbie.
We even tell the opposing team to sit down if there's action in the TV studio corner.

I lack the confidence of many of you in Lancaster and his coaching team.

Re: East Midlands Final - the wanted final!!
I think this final is probably credit to two of the best young English DoR in the Premiership. It certainly pains me to see these two coaches constantly overlooked for further honours compared to what we have to put up with instead. It should be a great match-up! I agree 100% and it shows up not on...

13-27.
I have never wanted Stains to win this much (came close in their HC final) - am I demented?
Proves old rivalry is nothing compared to anti-Saffacens sentiments (apart from Brits and Hodgson, two gentlemen of the game).

I said halfway through the season that Saffacens plastic would have an 'Oldham effect'. I hope Stains stuff 'em, but I don't hold out more than a hope.

There is no problem getting more through the doors if there was a decent A league programme and/or a ladies team structure.

Re: Can you recall your 1st game at Tigers? Mine was 20 Nov 1993
Not the first game that I went to (apparently I used to roam on the slope where the goldsmiths stand is now) but the first game I remember going to was on April 15th 1995. Tiger beat Bath 31-21 to win the Courage League, seem to remember Dan Lyle throwing an American football style crossfield pass ...

Re: England Squad for Argentina
If this is Lancaster's new direction it will be very interesting. To me there is a very jumbled look to the squad and some odd selections - it seems SL has his mind made up about some players regardless of form or proven weakness.

Re: Retirements
As I've mentioned before, this was all predicted by National Athletics Coach Tom McNab in the early 80s. He was a rugby coach as well, and he predicted that the use of modern athletic training methods (strength work, plyometrics, nutrition, periodic tapering etc) would change the game, but most of a...
