Re: England tour to SA
S Armitage not unlucky - he opted to go and play in France, thereby removing himself from consideration for England (unless that selection policy has now fallen by the wayside). Why then is Haskell selected? The foreign soil argument doesn't hold. Haskell selected because of perceived shortages. Of...

Re: Calum Green
Dont forget everyone B.J. likes everything in triplicate, Black and white, and this forum is just for B.J's sake, and not anyone else. Actually i'm finding this all a bit tiresome - can we have one interjection BJ, not in triplicate. It may well be, and often is, a necessary dose of scepticism, but...

Re: England tour to SA
I actually think it is a poor selection in places - Marler, Stevens in the pack, Turner-Hall, Lowe.
No place for May, Miller, 12T?
Miller should feel well narked!

Re: Agulla - is anyone at WR listening?
So it was worth airing once again?
Of course it was. Alas HA moves on - but if he turns up sometime next season against us, I will still delight in his play. The nice thing about rugby, and sport in general, is that out of the blue someone lights the game up for you.

As you well know I am happy to support your many well-argued posts. However I thought tb1 was being insulting.

Re: season of 2 halves
I don't deny that there was a plan A and the injuries kiboshed it. What I saw from the stands, home and away, was a team who couldn't gel, defend or attack consistently even when the returnees had time. We then had a crisis moment where another loss would mean possibly missing a playoff place. Somet...

Re: Obstructive bench persons.
The only issues we have at the front of the Crumbie are camerapeople in general and players/staff walking onto the pitch from the dugout to wathc action in the corner. Both get verballed strongly. There is a regular Sky cameraman who makes sure he and any others crouch down to avoid obstructing spec...

Agulla - is anyone at WR listening?
I make no apologies for headlining a part of David Flatman's Sunday column in the Independent. "Ihave never been a fan of the man-of-the-match concept; I always like to think of rugby as the purest of team sports, in which men literally risk their physical health in order not to let their mates...

Re: Will we break the SAffas defence??
We have the edge in the front row and the back row - the key battle will be Parling vs Borthdick; our problem is if Salvi is injured. Harrison delivers faster ball than De Kock, BY breaks better. The only aces Saffas have in the backs are Hodgson and Goode. Hodgson has to be clobbered quickly and ea...

Re: Billy don't be a hero ( well perhaps you are)
Revisionism alert - what was the score when 12T came on? 3-0? So we were on the front foot - actually the first 20 minutes saw us with about 25% ball. Didn't seem like the armchair ride for the backs that the forwards were trying to create, despite the ref failing to penalise Bath's scrum. 25-3 on 1...

Re: Bleeding the fans dry!
It is interesting to note that Exeter, previously an excellent service, has deteriorated this season both in ticket prices and service according to my Chiefs supporting brother. Listening becomes exceedingly unimportant once you franchise and corporatise the basics of a business; buy in or sod off s...

Re: Pirates throw Falcons a Lifeline?
But not the scenario we ought to like - Pirates should be allowed up and given a year to reach growth targets, not this appalling farrago.
