Re: Bill Frindall RIP

Very sad news.

Test Match Special is one of those rare things that make British summers great. Bill was an integral part of this wonderful production.

Cricket is poorer for his loss.

Re: The Things You Hate The Most...

Having to ring Sky. I'm supposed to feel valued and important because my call will be answered in less than eight minutes! Eight minutes?!! I worked in a bank call centre in the mid-90s and we had to answer the phone within three rings or management got stressy! How is it that a decade later, it's a...

Re: Heyneke Meyer Resigns! - Announcement from Tigers!

Such a sad situation.

We've lost a good'un and can only hope the situation in SA improves.

Heyneke, I'm sorry we didn't get to see the good things you would have undoubtedly done at Leicester. All the best.

I feel pretty deflated - can't really see where we go next.

I can thoroughly recommend John O'Farrell's 'An Utterly Impartial History of Britain.' Think 1066 And All That, with lots of reference to 21st century issues. Very silly, very funny!

It's a strange thing. Most people would have no idea what Oliver Postgate looks like and yet he's enriched the lives of millions with his work.

RIP.

All this talk of laws is very interesting, but surely there is an unwritten law that says you just DO NOT wear tights to play rugby!!!!!

It's easy to knock 'Strictly...' but I love it!

Oz was hugely entertaining and showed himself to be a fabulous dancer. Amazing that someone as good as him couldn't make the final. I was, however, getting very bored of Tess Daly constantly mentioning the guns.

Tom to win!!

Sad news of course.

Lawrence's autobiography makes it clear just how hard his mother pushed and pushed for justice to be done concerning the Marchioness disaster.

Very best wishes to the family.

I love the title of this thread.

The idea of the colossus that is Johnno needing anyone to rescue him - fantastic!

I think we'll be annoyingly inconsistent for a while yet. We have good players, but there's still a new coaching structure bedding in and we've had a lot of changes in the last few years. Teams without stability rarely do well. Hopefully, Meyer's here for the long term and we can build up a level of...

The ignorance of some people is simply astounding. If the idiots running this were to trace their family trees back for just a few generations, I wonder how many different countries they would find.

I was unsure as to whether Brive was the right move for Goode. I'm thrilled it's going so well for him. He wasn't always as appreciated as he should have been at WR. Great to see him playing well, making the most of his talent and being loved by the fans.

Geordan does seemed to be unloved and unappreciated at international level. His wonderfully consistent performances for Leicester are surely a reflection of the high regard Tigers fans have for him.

I hope he carries on feeling the love at WR until the day he retires.

Poor Matt Stevens!

OK, so Vickery scrummages well, but Stevens has a far better all round game, including being highly effective in the scrum. Having said that, Johnno knows best and Vickery must be salivating at the thought of destroying the Aussie front row again!
