Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
That is an awful lot of work when we don't know the salary of a single player listed. Of course what is paid to any player is irrelevant all that matters is what they actually bring to the team. It took about 15 minutes on the train. I used to do analysis in rugby and cricket, still do a bit of it ...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Just had a scroll through the Bath squad list and I'd be surprised if they are spending more than us next season. Take out Russell, and your not left with many big money players. Even the likes of Underhill and Cokanasiga are surely not on huge money given their injury problems. Similarly to us, a ...

Freddie on the wing Hatherell in second row Kelly at 13 They’re all playing in positions they’ve played in before on numerous occasions. That hardly makes them round pegs in square holes. People were pushing for Shilcock at 15 what are you going to do with Steward drop him completely. Hatherall was...

Agree with the comments about the format. To have first knockout match as a repeat of group stages is silly. Wouldn't happen in most sporting competitions, with good reason. As others have said, I would have preferred for the format to go back to pre covid. But here we are it is what it is. We've ha...

See England v Ireland for what can happen. Same narrative pre-game, surprising result.
Not saying it will happen, but it can.

I know I am in a minority of one but I really do believe that we do have a chance to win this game. Not a great chance but a chance nevertheless. We have gone into games in the past - written off before the whistle has even started the 80 mins and we have won. On my Superbru forecast I will be sayi...

Re: JVP
It amazes me that a 29 year old scrum half who still cannot box kick properly is miraculously somehow now better than the most capped England player in history. I'm no fan of BY but at least he can box kick properly which is a very basic and essential skill of any scrum half. If anyone is deluded e...

Re: JVP
I'm not sure whether I'm more baffled or amused about the criticism of our third choice scrum half, who probably earns less than the deputy manager of your local Tesco. Whiteley consistently puts in 100% and performs to a higher level than many third choice 9's in the league. Do some of you people ...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45
We need to win all our remaining League games. With the players at our disposal, its down to the Coach ........ 64000$ Question is-----------do the players rate him ?? I would hope we have a group of players that will do their best regardless of whether they rate the coach. If not, the bigger probl...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)
People talk about Borthwick bringing through young players and McKellar not. It's really not that simple - when Borthwick was here there were a few really good youngsters emerging. Steward, JvP, O Chessum, Martin, Reffell, Heyes. 4 or 5 of those are now bordering on world class. The current crop of...

The old "we are doomed" brigade out in force as usual, no one seems to allow that we had a team who have not played together for weeks, some players who have not had any rugby at all for weeks ( Youngs, Stewart, Wiese) a late change at 10 and internationals who must be running on fumes (C...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
There's also the question of whether they've been instructed not to call things that commentators have highlighted?
The TMO sounded like he was very comfortable with his decision to ignore the foul play, and that the rest of the officiating team would agree with him.
