Re: European competitions

Believe this one is a bridge too far for Sarries. Part of me would like to see them get through , but just can't see it. Leinster will be a tough nut to crack for anyone in this competition . Part of me wants to see them to lose by 50 and to never be seen in any rugby competition again, the other p...

Re: A question.

By now we should be able to test every NHS workers, care workers and teachers as they arrive at work every day (or by daily home testing) this should be a minimum. There seems to be a lack of focus and headless chickens behaviour seems to be he order of the day but forgoing a few tests for sports te...

Re: Puzzled - Saracens!

It ain't necessarily so... To say that an omission (general) can be regarded as an error (general) is patently false. Some omissions may be errors in the same way that some You are presuming to know which is which as a starting point, if information is not passed from A to B, how can B or C tell if...

Re: Puzzled - Saracens!

I would posit that an omission can be regarded as an error, the fact that something is deliberately omitted does not preclude it from being erroneous and and error can be an error of omission!

Re: Puzzled - Saracens!

Regarding removal of the titles, that should have been easy, the silverware should have been returned and the record books amended to record that there was no winner that year and the reason, the title could not be awarded to anyone because there are to many variables and most clubs would not be in...

Re: Gloucester vs. Tigers - Sun 30 Aug 20 (1630)

I side with Austin here, we seem to be conceding games at selection time, I think the LI game was the one for the youngsters and Glouster :smt011 - Bath the games to try to see where we really are. I think the coaches are chickening out, a full blooded Tigers first 15 against any other team they wou...

Re: Referees

What a strange world we live in, a top class ref like Doyle is given his P45 and the raft of incompetent clowns who do not seem to know the laws let alone apply them are kept in employment. My only hope is that most of the premiership ref's pay is linked to performance pay, so it is cheaper to keep ...

Re: Annoyance over forward passes

Re the forward passes in the Bath game, it would be good to know if the ref and TMO not even seeming considering them was due to a. personal preference of the officials to re-interpret the laws of the game. b. as a result of another of these unhelpful guidances given to speed up the game. c. incompe...

Re: BT Sport Coverage of Quins vs Sale .... Why Oh Why ?

Simon P raises a fair point, I do not mean the subject matter, I wish sports programs would just stick to the sport, after all there was a lot of rugby subject matter to be covered, if BT wanted to they could have put a trailer to a separate item covering BLM, NHS or whatever, I think this is really...

Re: Puzzled - Saracens!

This is precisely where I smell a great big rat. Their books SHOULD have been examined, in order to to find the whole truth, one way or the other. The stench will never be completely eradicated. :smt018 :smt018 What do you think would have been found in the 'books'? A line marked 'cash withdrawal' ...

Re: Kyle Eastmond

A good big un will nearly always beat a good little un, I think Kyle is unfortunate that against top class defences he does not have the physique to prosper, he always looked a very capable player but size was against him as he knew he would not win many collisions, so the defence could stand off an...

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

A superb player, one of the few in the Tigers team who's form did not drop off when returning to club rugby after international duty, he will be missed but we move on and follow the Sale and Exeter model with fewer international disruptions to deal with.

Re: Puzzled - Saracens!

Ok I agree the first time round was a farce. However, the second time a slap on the wrist? They got fined more than £5m and relegated. As a result of relegation they've lost a number of key players and will have lost considerable funding from TV, attendances and competition earnings both domestical...
