Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Surprised to see contractors working today. Despite a strong wind, a white crane working at the office end of the stand at ten O'clock this morning. Maybe they are afraid of Bill's wrath, and are working over their holiday :smt040

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Looks as if they have sheeted the sloping section of the stand roof so some dry seats now available. Shouldn't take too long to finish the rest. :smt023 Photo just posted on the official Tigers Facebook page, taken from LRI, shows the sloped roof 99% covered, and part of the Aylestone Road facing f...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Safety net and barriers all in place and the 'big daddy' of all Cranes is back on the pitch having buffed up Cocker's car to perfection. Could this be the start of Bill's long awaited roofing in? :smt023 I came past the ground an hour ago, and the big Crane was manoeuvring into position, but the wi...

If we cannot get our act together on songs and chants, how about clappers provided by a sponsor? Annoying, maybe, but noisy :smt038

Foxes' Happy Clappers

Watching the Foxes v Chelsea match, it struck me that City has many 'happy clappers' in the crowd, one assumes the 'clappers' being provided by a sponsor. Could this be the answer to our doom mongers? :smt040

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

For those who do not get to the ground, other than on match days, when I walked along Aylestone Road the other day, the green fascia of the stand part was almost complete, as was the silver(?) framing of the long window. The view of the other side of Aylestone Road on the Cam, is THROUGH that window...

Excellent evening's work from the team. Also Benny Kay for putting up a fine show to balance the Irish supporter co-commentators. :smt027

Re: Looking ahead to Bath

Curious that Matt Tait is captain even though Slater is in the side? I'm guessing it is to allow Ed back in gently? Looks a good side. No Goneva though? I said earlier in the thread that the commentators last week said Tait was club captain rather than Slater Not according to the club answering a c...

Looks like the metal frames for the comfy seats are now being installed into the new stand.

A great pity that the second and third cams seem to have fallen by the wayside permanently! :smt010

DMU Cheerleaders for Bath Match?

Tigers have just posted a photo of Welford limbering up with the De Montfort Uni Cheerleaders, for Sunday's game. I seem to remember that several members of this Forum last year were keen on such entertainment being provided - well, you seem to have had your wish granted. I hope that your hearts can...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Not that I wish to get involved in this in any way and also know absolutly zero about construction (except from my general observation that builders never seen to complete anything when they say they are going to to)but it was a bit windy yesterday to be handling roof panels at height. I certainly ...

Re: Where's Austin Healey?

He was in the BT studio for our game on Friday evening. He seems to be genuinely excited about Tigers, and was referring to "we" when talking about us!
