Re: THE DECIDER - ENGLAND V AUSTRALIA - 16th July 2022

Glad to hear Itoje feels fine - but this is why the players no longer make the decision and the return to play protocols must rule him out.

Re: Proposed changes to semi finals

Why not go full French and make it a three stage process? 3rd plays 6th for the right to play 2nd, while 4th plays 5th for the right to play 1st. Meaning 1st and. 2nd get a bye week. Have I got that right Robespierre?

Re: Proposed changes to semi finals

Always thought that if somebody more capable than myself could set up crowdfunded, or similar, for supporters to donate to buy a nice piece of Oak inscribed with "Supporters Trophy" or appropriate & league leaders after last day of season. It would be up to the winning club to inscrib...

Isn’t that Wednesday’s announcement of Tuesday’s hearings, not those held yesterday?

Munster away was monumental ! 2007.
Paris?
Have we already forgotten last December’s win in Bordeaux, top in the French league & our side consisting of seemingly callow youths?

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Still not convinced by Smith. It looks pretty and that it should be threatening but the best defenders can work him out. He doesn’t unlock defences in the way George can and doesn’t read and control the game either. He’s young and skilful and learning, but it remains a big gamble that he’ll actually...

Re: Gloucester (Home) - Saturday 26th February 2022 - KO 3-00pm

Thought the scrum changed when Atkinson was down injured. Wells talking to SB on the sidelines followed by a forwards huddle. After that we regained some control and for sure Balmain going off helped. Thought Wells put in a huge shift btw. We certainly improved after half time and had a more impactf...

Re: 6 Nations 2022

Sure RugbyGramps but the issue in question was that since LCD was there providing cover wasn’t it impossible to say that a try would probably have been scored (which is a necessary condition for a penalty try). It was suggested that since in the opinion of the officials LCD engaged in foul play he c...

Re: Tonga appeal

There’s an update on Hosea’s gofundme page (no apology for repeating the link here https://gofund.me/cf0b19b0). With the money raised so far he hopes to fund restore 7 seaside villages and is arranging to send the money via his brother in Tonga. Not too late to donate!

Re: Leicester v Bordeaux (H) - 22nd January 2022 - 15:15

By default? Hardly. You can only beat the team in front of you and there still are 5 games (four rounds) before we’ve had a chance to best the remaining 15 other teams. Who will be missing because of Covid? Well perhaps Toulouse but isn’t it also down to their earlier performances eg at Wasps making...

Re: Leicester v Bordeaux (H) - 22nd January 2022 - 15:15

Agree with resting Wells And Reffell. Keep Burns in. He needs game time - but give him some time working on his kicking for goal - at his best those misses today were all well within his capabilities- he can get that back. His control of the game was pretty good today which hasn’t always been the ca...
