Re: Matt O'Connor to Leinster?
My point re 'churlish' was that when we are all congratulating MOC on a great opportunity, despite our questions and criticisms in the past, it is churlish to use those congratulations to once again suggest that there are the 'worthies' who criticise not, and the others who occasionally venture the ...

Re: Crunch time predictions
Having said that, it didn't take much to get the HK and semifinal right - the only wobbly bit being home or away!

Re: Murphy retires
I am really proud to have seen him play so often. I respect the fantastic service he has given the club, yet wonder if the best is yet to come. PS EOS - hang your head in shame, you excuse for a DOR for Ireland. you deliberately ignored a great talent in his prime. Karma however, you got what you de...

Re: Matt O'Connor to Leinster?
Good luck Matt and thank you for everything you have done for Tigers. If you read this forum I hope that you will recognise that ALL Tigers fans appreciate how much you have contributed to Tigers during your time here. Let's hope you can sign-off with a Premiership title. Alteration to a churlish r...

Re: The stats are here
My personal view is that Tigers have for too long pursued high-risk attack policies where split-second flat attacks ask too much of the players - MOC coaching the national side in his head when he actually has a very good club backline. It may be that a small conservative change in strategy may para...

Re: The stats are here
Some posters are just bxxxx incapable of avoiding a personal insult. I especially hate the 'not a proper supporter' one. Refuge of a keyboard warrior! - the last one to insult me was given my location at the next match, plus the fact my name was on the back of my shirt, and invited to repeat themsel...

Yes, the KO times mean that most public transport will be choking off by the end of the games, if indeed such transport exists.
I agree with a previous poster, it looks like a financial damp squib waiting to happen.

Unfortunately you only have to read accounts of the Henry tour......Rizzo wrote:My own personal thinking is that the British & Irish Lions is a time and tour when we can put nationalistic boundaries behind us for a while and support the whole as an entity in itself.

Re: Lions squad 2013
Bit of a laugh this Welsh versus England thing when 4 'Welsh' players were born in England, plus one in South Africa and one in Tonga and 4 of the 'English' players are not from England anyway but rather South Africa, New Zealand and Samoa. Absolutely - and that Welsh is not a genetic grouping but ...

Re: World Cup Venues confirmed
The point is that it is a fairly extreme financial gamble. There would be no real problem staging a slightly scaled down break-even WC, using more actual rugby grounds. However they have to largely fill bigger stadia to reach their target, and it is here that the choice of venue and the disparity wi...

Re: Squad Changes 2013-2014 Season & Transfer Rumours Thread
While kornboy can argue till the cows come home about pace, as a former 10.7w/21.5 100/200m man (in 1969) I can give both a sprinters and a BAAB coaches view - and I'm sorry but we DO lack pure speed. Thompstone is the one back who appears to have it. Manu doesn't, Tait doesn't (although he has the...

And the capacity at the ramshackle Kingsholm is???? And at Sandy Park??
The two totalled together are equivalent to WR which is a damn sight more world-renowned than Kingsholm!
