Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal
The obvious example I can think of is the NFL where they have a salary cap. I guess being franchises, powerful union and lots of money so all players earn a lot it's not that comparable to the Prem.

Re: Johnny May
Daily Mail had Williams on £230000 for Sarries. Can't imagine May would be able to attract much more than that, if anything Williams is the more complete player. May is the better winger and will finish more try scoring opportunities. He's a bit of a luxury player but one you'd want when competing ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal
This would seem to suggest that it was more than just the co investments that caused them to be over the cap.

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)
Haven't the Villa won a couple of league matches this year? They have and no one is talking about how Villa shouldn’t be down near the bottom of the league. They’re expected to be there. A big thing is made from Tigers being near the bottom. This is why you cannot compare Aston Villa to Tigers. Bas...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)
Why is everyone getting in a state when we don’t know what has happened yet. People having been calling for changes, if rumours are to be believed something has happened. Borthwick is on his way, so there is no way that another coach is going to come in for a maximum of 3 months keeping his seat wa...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2
Poor old Lendrid, always getting the blame. I don't think any of the other scrum halves would improve anything until the coaching improves. That should be the sole focus and where money should be directed.

Re: Wasps Financials
Wasps turnover seems to be about 15m more than Exeter so you do wonder how they seem to get it so badly wrong.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation
You day Exeter missed out on titles, so did Sarries semi opponent. - 35 points last season would have seen them in 10th so Newcastle still relegated. Sarries reporting requirement to Prem rugby being left wanting doesn't mean they are doing anything dodgy tax wise.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation
I feel much better knowing I wasn't just looking down my nose at Sarries out of jealousy, they actually were cheating! Be nice if they had their titles removed and given to the team that actually earned them fairly. Don't think you could assign another winner because they beat someone in the semi a...

Re: England vs USA
The game did highlight that May must be one of the first names pencilled in the first XV. It looks as though as soon as Nowell is fit he's back in the 23. Wingers C and M (not going risk the spellings) haven't shown anything close to May, Nowell, Watson & Daly on the wing.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1
I know this thread is to do with player transfers but just as a matter of interest as I haven't seen or heard anything on the coaching side can anyone tell me if Mike Ford is staying at the club and also is Bakewell and Blake also staying. Thanks An article confirmed they were present for the start...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 1
I think if you change don't need much in terms of wage to cheap squad player then that's pretty much how fringe/championship/world cup bolters are talked about.

Re: World Cup Squads
Having one 8 is dangerous, especially since Vunipola has a long list of injuries, I guess Eddie Jones is expecting Wilson to cover but I would still prefer someone like Morgan. He persevered with Hughes when Billy was last injured so he doesn't really have any tried and tested options to call upon,...
