Re: Teams up v ASM Clermont
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead. In peace there's nothing so becomes a man As modest stillness and humility: But when the blast of war blows in our ears, Then imitate the action of the tiger; Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, Disg...

Re: Griffiths and Saracens
I find it hard to guess another man's motives for anything - particularly when I have trouble understanding my own at times - but when Griffiths is building "mini-me" facsimiles across the globe, all wearing the corporate clothing and saying the same mantra then it looks like positioning ...

Re: Griffiths and Saracens
Here ends any credibility in the notion you are a Tigers fan. Yes,yes, yes, yes yes yes yes yes yes yes it would be a good thing if Tigers reached the final for another 10 years. It is up to others to try and stop us. Tigers were dominating the league so they brought the play-offs to give others anot...

Re: Griffiths and Saracens
Problem with this is it will only ever benefit the 'big' clubs and hinder the smaller ones: Teams with a bigger base spend more money to bring in higher calibre players These better players win more trophies and draw fans. More fans mean more money so even more to spend. Those with less money have ...

Re: Griffiths and Saracens
I would like to see the current salary cap dispensed with as I believe it stifles the bigger clubs. I think it should be replaced with a percentage limit, e.g. a club can use up to 50% of it's annual turnover for players' wages. I'm with Smurph when it comes to the match experience insomuch I don't ...

Seven stitches in his head but did they bother him? NO! I have to ask - Anthony Allen, are you Julian Salvi in disguise? I salute you, sir! p.s. I am drunk but I am now about to get very drunk. It's fun when the owner of your local is a Stains supporter. Arrivaderci brain cells, I'll see you on Mond...

Re: The "choke tackle" debate
I'd have Lawes over Deacon, but I'm not sure about Slater and Kitchener. I think if you were to rate them out of 10 as players, they'd probably all be about the same, but I think they are all very different players and bring different things to the game. Who you'd play would depend on who else is i...

Re: Well done Newbury RUFC
At half time in the Eng v Wales 6N game, the TV people interviewed Joey Barton and asked what he thought of his first rugby game. He said it was a little surreal. Everyone was walking around with pints, everyone was respectful and nobody was chanting abuse at the players or match officials. A fair ...
