Re: We need to talk about Handré

IMO the premiership win under Borthwick was an anomaly. We have then skipped from coach to coach and now have a high quality coach in place for less than a year, which happens to be World Cup year. I said at the beginning of the season that a PRC win and qualify for champions cup next season should...

It's bad enough filling in at flanker. TH? My old mucker Chris was a Welsh TH, Tom Smith size, and he still got injury after injury. :smt018

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Realism would see that we will never have the resources nor the advantages of Leinster or most French sides. The cap is not £10m nor do we have the luxury of having a core international side (how many caps?) available for Europe and any crunch matches, while only playing 15 games a season (less inju...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm

I can't remember us having a decent attack/backs coach. On a couple of occasions since 2005 against Welsh and Irish opposition, I've quipped that with our forwards and their backs, we'd be lethal. Under SB we became a great forwards and defensive unit, based on AWs exceptional conditioning regime. ...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Champions Cup - Saturday 20th January 2024 - KO: 3-15pm

Well, we've just lost to the best two European international teams backed by possibly the worst European international referees. If we had cut out the errors today, we would have been in with a chance. This is what is killing us. Amen brother. Some on here need to realise that was a WC team bar a f...

Re: Nottingham Rugby Club

Nottingham's troubles started in the 90s before professionalism. They were on the slide whem my son started in the u12s. They had a golden core of juniors but no development structure and a county/region only interested in selecting independent school boys. The grounds were worth far more as housing.

It's a housing estate now isn't it?
Yep. I looked at it and wept the last time I was down there. Some great memories when my lads were playing.

Probably speaking too soon.... but I, also, think he's very much improved. He was 'dodgy' in the beginning that's for sure! I agree with this. There are certainly far worse and I would be happy to have him ref Tigers at the moment. .....just not against Quins! I thought he only became dodgy after t...

Re: Central contracts

Be interesting to know if the central contract runs for the same length of time as the club contract. I recall Jonah Holmes being enticed away to further his Welsh career, join Newport Gwent Dragons on a club + Wales contract, then Wales decide Jonah is surplus to requirement and suddenly the guy i...
