Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2
In this situation a player going into this without an employment / contract lawyer’s advice would be akin to facing Archer without a box.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2
And all of them have short careers and more than likely many years of ill health in later life due to what they put their bodies through. They are not greedy nor selfish but need to be as hard a negotiator as the club is. We can support both and hope they arrive at a compromise that works but if th...

Re: Murphy coaches and relegation
The steady decline has been going on since Cockers left. No the steady decline started whilst Cockers was still here. The decline was exacerbated after he left by the truly moronic decision to appoint Matt O'Connor a man who virtually destroyed every structure at the club. The massively optimistic ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation
Accepting for the moment that clubs, including Tigers, pushed the boundaries up to 2015, Sarries/Wray's two finger approach post 2015 deserves all it gets. I saw Bracken trying to equate Bloodgate to this - saying the transgression was of a similar order. It was not. Cheating to win 1 game vs cheati...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million
I believe that the small shareholders don't have a say in if they want to sell their shares or not if someone wants to buy the whole thing. Looking into this it depends upon whether an agreement is in place in form of a shareholders agreement, which usually either specifies a price for the forced b...

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million
There are I think 13.5 m ordinary 10p shares however there are outstanding loan notes that can be converted into ordinary shares, thereby increasing the number of shares issued and reducing the value of each share (obviously).

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million
I think there are 13.5m issued shares so about £4.40 per share (at £60m price tag) I think season ticket holders were given 100 shares in the mid 90's - and the chance to buy more. Maybe a small windfall for them, but still a big change in structure of club. I will await more detail before deciding ...

Re: Positives
Lost by 34 points away To Exeter in Sept, and sacked MOC. We are making progress cos margin was only 32, though that improvement was probably down to home advantage. I was no fan of MOC and we will avoid relegation but BoD has some very hard thinking to do and tough actions to take.

Re: Worcester vs Tigers
Harsh on Cole, but otherwise fair. No passion, little skill, and little pride in the shirt from maybe half of the starting 15. Toomua clearly has one eye on the plane back to Oz. Of the 15 I would not be sad to see Eastmond, Owen leaving next season either. Of the pack Williams and Kitch are gone an...

Re: The Six Nations 2019
Good to see Cole back in the fold and in line for another Cap. He has done all the right things since being "dropped". Not surprised given Williams leaked Irish final try. Eddie would have been cross despite the win. Genge v Moon is tight call. I suspect we may see them alternate through r...

And all the headlines are written around Cipriani and Manu. Will COLE announce international retirement or fight for his place. I hope the latter.

Re: European fixtures announcement
After such a hard season at the cutting edge of Rugby administration it is clear that the staff at EPC Rugby need an extended summer break, ( even longer then the internationals who are now back with their clubs). Does anyone know when they will be returning to work when, presumably, they might anno...

European fixtures announcement
.... should be by August 7. Pro14 are due out tomorrow (Tue 24) and EPC Rugby said fixtures would be out within 2 weeks of final domestic fixture announcement (Top 14 was out some weeks ago). I trust we will get date and kick off time, not just weekend of with details to follow. Of course R5/6 kick ...

Re: Gallagher Premiership Rugby?
I think there are 2 London clubs - Quins and Sarries - though one of them might be South African I suppose. But no doubler header without bring in two teams from the provinces - hopefully not us. Does anyone know if the new Premiership Cup is also sponsored by the large American insurance company an...
