Re: Up next....Premiership v Gloucester!

The problem is not the coaching staff, its the lack of coaching staff. It's the need for a Forwards coach and line out specialist. If we could convert our 5m line outs and pick and drive without turning the ball over results would be very different. Unfortunately we are unlikely to get the coaches w...

Re: Attendance for next weekend v Racing

I thought the guys showed real courage against a much better side. They could have easily given up after that early score but they didn't. Okay some players looked way out of their depth, others looked rusty having just come back from injury but we had more of the ball and had a few chances, but the...

Re: Shazam

I think you have missed the point, the game has changed it is a lot faster so the 9 needs to have the pace not only to get to the breakdown but also to cover behind the defensive line when we get turned over. Afraid Sam no longer as that pace and we need to look to our younger players. I don't belie...

Re: Castres vs Tigers

Harrison was excellent a couple of seasons ago but he has lost his pace. He would do well in a Championship team but he has had his Glory Days at Tigers. Problem is Youngs isn't setting the world on fire at the moment and with the six nations approaching I agree with many other contributors we are i...

Re: Castres vs Tigers

Much better second half but like our first team we find it impossible to score from a 5m line out. Some positives but far too many negatives. At last we see how poor our back up scrum half is...must go...and he could take another 7 players with him! Evans played well as did Wells, Worth the ever act...

Re: Ged Glynn

Think you maybe shocked if you look at who GG has brought to the club and with regards the Academy the changes made have made a huge difference and will have a major impact in future seasons on future Tigers squads. Anyone who has been down Oval Park will tell you of the great atmosphere and team sp...

Re: Castres vs Tigers

Interesting fixture with both sides putting out their second string teams. Should be a good game for the neutrals to watch but we must not concede points early on, or I fear the worst. I would have liked to see Hardwick at 10. I think JF would struggle to get into any other Premiership squad at the ...

Re: MOC to be sacked?

Think he is the only one who doesn't.... but to get a Top Class Forwards Coach halfway through the season is near impossible so my guess is, we have what we have and stuck with it till the end of the season. Maybe MOC is saying he doesn't want one until the right guy becomes available however seeing...

Re: MOC to be sacked?

I expect sackings and its not MOC or GG but expect a clear out of players at the end of the season. Some very unpopular exits too but as I have said previously if guys are there just to pick up a pay check..get rid. Our BOD is quite well balanced so I don't see any changes there and the Academy is n...

Re: One business or two?

Think you'll find initially income generated from the Hotel will be used to build a new Car Park or should we build the Car Park first? Salary cap....I'd like to see all players that have come through a Clubs Academy be exempt from the salary cap for life or until they leave the Club whose Academy t...

Re: Captain?

Think Ford had a really poor game although not helped by Ben Youngs. (Probably choked playing behind our current pack) Too much pressure on Ford being Captain are we expecting too much? The problem is until TY or DB are fit we don't have a leader on the field. Unfortunately MOC hands are tied if he ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2017/18 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2!!

Dom is the guy to build the team around. A natural leader who gives 100% and doesn't take a step backwards. A player not to lose. If he's hit a team mate or two in training that says a lot about him and if he leaves it says even more about the club. Hopefully just a rumour.

Re: Team for London Irish

A rather disappointing performance but looking on the positive side, MT looked World Class, Manu is looking better every game, we got a win and some other results have worked for us. On the downside, we did not get a bonus point, the worse halfback performance I've seen at the Tigers for a long time...
