Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
the worst thing about this for me is it sends a terrible message to the players about Steve as a coach. You can be one of the teams best players consistently for a number of years including in the current 6 nations and just because Steve wants to signal a change of intent you get made a scapegoat i...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
Certainly think that an opportunity has been missed to bridge the gap with some news about either new signings or player retention, though there must be reasons for this. As for the PRC final I wonder if it had to be planned for a break in the championship season too as their clubs were included Sc...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
I think this is an issue in that England do not have any matches that would be classed as 'friendlies'. We are expected to go out and win and so, right or wrong, developing fully in the 6 nations and finishing last is what costs people their job even if there is a bigger plan. Agreed, its a Catch 2...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
It seems like we have been relatively quiet compared to others during this break - missed opportunity to drum up excitement and engagement? We have (slightly more so than other clubs) liked to "batch" up our signings into popcorn days rather than the odd announcement here and there. That ...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Its all well having a good attack, but without a defence results would be worse. The defence is the foundation of the team and attack to follow. England finished 3rd at the World Cup and since then personnel have retired, moved abroad and injuries picked up. For example, Mitchell and Smith, both ha...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022
Problem with Country of birth only as I see it, a player born in an obscure non rugby playing country comes here to live and work legally etc, and develpos into a great player, should he be denied the opportunity to play for a Nation, as his country of birth does not play the game? There really has ...

Re: New Supporters Forum?
Any ideas as to whom the club selected to be on this Forum? I was wondering the same thing, appears to have gone very silent on this. You would’ve expected some of the “new offerings” that Andrea has been emailing about might’ve been discussed with the new forum as it’s supposed to represent a cros...

Re: International Eligibility
A player could technically be entitled to represent 4 nations if the Grandparents rule continues. Technically based on it you can represent 7 countries based on just grandparents. Say Grandparent A born in England Grandparent B born in South Africa Grandparent C born in New Zealand Grandparent D bo...

Re: Tigers v Gloucester - Premiership Cup Final - Friday 15th March 2024 - KO:7-45pm
I was going to buy tickets but have just given up because of what I can only descibe as a ludicrous booking system on the Gloucester Website. The system insists on you registering but as I was trying to book multiple tickets including ones at Senior and Junior prices it refused to let me complete t...

Re: Trailfinders a sad indictment of rugby
As I say too much negativity, it can't be done, it is inevitable, most people don't want to watch/understand rugby type attitude. Mistakes have been made in the past - let's learn from them. It's important to understand the strength of other clubs is important to us as our health is to them. Being ...

Re: Wasps revival???
Just received the following email from Wasps - I joined a group to keep track of what was happening. What does everyone think? Wasps continues its substantial efforts to return the men's and women's teams to the highest level possible of performance rugby. In October 2023 we outlined the 3 pillars ...
