Like it or not, referees are game managers / facilitators.

Were every law to be rigidly adhered to, which by the way is impossible, then the game would be close to unwatchable.

With the obvious exception of Gwl@d, and even that has been significantly toned down since it was actively moderated, where are these forums that contain abuse, threats and foul language? I presume we are not talking about rugby forums, as I cannot think of any that fit that description.

Yes, he did have a foot in the field of play; however this is a law that is often not enforced and is considered secondary to the ref playing with due regard to the pace of the game. Whether or not all laws should be strictly enforced is perhaps a separate topic; ultimately they are considered a gui...

Re: Interesting.....Eng Team v Ireland

Ever since Manu lamped Chris Ashton in the pay-offs, Barnes has had it in for him. There was even a subtle dig about the punch yesterday although I think it was Harrison who said it. This, coupled with an anti-English commentary, made for 80 minutes of non-enjoyment. Even after several slo-mos show...

Re: P2P tv gone missing......drat, no England match.

Of course you are the same people who turn down sales items, designer labels sold in the market and all sorts of other semi-freebies, as well as any freebies where you should or could've paid....right? Yes. Having established that one of us is comfortable in paying for chargeable services whereas o...

Re: Nottingham vs. Tigers

Dont get me wrong, I am not suggesting Sam at 10, but just thought he looked comfortable, out of position. He must be given more gametime at 9........ I don't disagree. However he now has Youngs, Grindal and the so far unimpressive Young ahead of him, so its hard to see Sam getting much gametime at...

Numerous changes as the following came on; Bucknall Tom Youngs Ben Woods Sam Harrison (played most of 2nd half as Fly-half, and looked good! Lee Robinson Micky Young There were quite a few more additions, with at least Tom Armes, Peter Bucknall, Richard de Carpentier and a couple of Loughborough Un...

Re: Leicester v Lyon

Really good game to watch and a very decent performance from tigers. However Lyon were limited in attack so didnt give the defence a proper test. Nevertheless they could only play what was in front of them. 15 Morris Excellent all round game, strong in the tackle and gd under high ball 8/10 14 Hami...

Re: England Team News v Wales 06th August 2011

Wilkinson 6? Was your seat that bad! :smt002 ... Really think Flutey played his way out, unless he is lucky enough to be given another start in the warm ups, which is why Hodgson comes in as 3rd 10 option. Ditto Corbisero who I would definately have had in there before today. Shaw inked himself in f...

Cheers BJ. Posts which are purely on the forum for adverising are reviewed and generally removed. This post is from a user expressing their satisfaction rather than direct advertising. Absolutely. I'm sure that Frog Island Sport, to whom I have no attachment, do not hold the monopoly on good custom...

Frog Island Sport

Credit where it's due ...

Master Waffle and I sorted out some replacement rugby kit at Frog Island Sport today; excellent service and highly recommended.

Far better than you would get from a generic sports shop.

Re: First six rounds of premiership

After seeing his performance against the Boks, Bleus and ABs in the Junior WC, I would start Ford. 1. His defence was pretty good 2. His tactical kicking better than TF or JS (imo) 3. His distribution was excellent 4. His breaks were almost as good as TF 5. His goal kicking keft a bit to be desired...
