Re: Floody/Ford or Staunton??
Flood has had an excellent kicking record since returning from WC duties, and I'm sure that this is connected to him dropping that ridiculous stutter at the start of his run-up. Did the England coaching team recognise that they had messed up an excellent kicker, or did Flood just ignore their coachi...

Re: Rules of Rugby
On the subject of speeding up the game, if kickers were required to simply punt their conversions at the posts quickly, rather than taking up 60 seconds: a) How much more actual rugby would we get and; b) Would it make a whole heap of difference to the kicking success rate? All this delivery of tee...

Wales end up 4th
I have heard a lot of Wales being one of the 2 best sides in the WC, and that they should have been in the final.
But they couldn't get 3rd place even with a full team and Aus losing their 1st choice 10.

Re: Glaws LV thread (takes deep breath)
My attendence on Friday will rely solely on what sort of team we put out. The money's already gone, so that's out of the equation, but I have no intention of struggling in on a friday night and watching our development/acadamy team get a pasting from Glaw's firsts. We need to start winning again - a...

Re: ...and that'll be the last we see of Alain Rolland too.
I'm perplexed as to what the size of the occasion has to do with the way it is reff'ed, apart from sticking to the laws of the game, which Rolland did. Surely, we wouldn't want a ref to ignore these simply because we want a show? Clearly you missed my point....I was merely saying it was a big occas...

"This was 15 mins into a world cup semi final and whichever way you look at it, it was a big call." I'm perplexed as to what the size of the occasion has to do with the way it is reff'ed, apart from sticking to the laws of the game, which Rolland did. Surely, we wouldn't want a ref to igno...

Re: ...and that'll be the last we see of Alain Rolland too.
Last night, I was listening to radio 4 on the way home and they had a piece on Sam Warburton's school, with interviews with pupils and his old PE teacher. Can you imagine what his teacher would be saying now? How about " Sam, you let your team down, you let your country down, but most of all (a...

Re: Star Signing
The salary cap means that "star signing" that might cost £350k a year would cost us three squad players/ Where would that have left us during the last six weeks ? Also if another club signed Castro, or Croft do you think they would celebrate signing a "star signing" ? I do. Quit...

Re: Star Signing
me2 said "You cannot have a system that benefits all clubs. PRL have voted for the method that benefits the majority, even if this isnt the method that Tigers (and Tigers fans) feel is the fairest." Surely there would be some benefit to the game in England as a whole, including clubs like ...
