Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
I thought that when Callum Green was here first time, he was a little on the short side, how tall is he? Is he taller than Slater, who also appeared that way to me. Both very good players though. Who cares how tall, would take either of them back here in a heartbeat. Would walk back into the XV eng...

I am not sure if I believe this but it could be that the Huw Jones bid may not be dead in the water - offer another 50K quickly - http://www.talkingrugbyunion.co.uk/rugby-rumours-top14-for-creevy-read-in-japan-daly-to-sarries-and-jones-on-the-fence/21899.htm Well Glasgow said about a month ago they...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
Where’s the Green rumour come from?
Was one of the best performing locks last season in the premiership. Haven’t really heard much of him this season, although not watched any Falcons games bar against Tigers.

Re: Phil Blake - Defence Coach
To be fair, the season he was with us, the worst results were the 45-0 and 47-10 drubbings by Bath. The first result was at the beginning of the season so you could argue players weren't entirely au fait with his coaching, and the second result was after he left. More importantly and in between all...

If TPN stays, we don’t need another hooker. Would love the Du Preez rumours to be true though, would fill the squad out nicely.

Re: Quins must win 23
I'm not sure the problem is the injury to Denton. The existing back row players O'Connor, Kalamafoni and Thompston are good enough and probably as good as he is as individuals. We just aren't a team and haven't been for several years. That back row seems decent until you compare it to the other bac...

Re: Murphy appointed head coach
I thought Davis was the front runner to come in and sort out the defence. Surprised an announcement hasn’t been made yet to be honest.

New rumour, no idea where from but due to be confirmed shortly.
Brad Davies, new defence coach with a new attack coach coming in from Ireland.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
So theoretically: Dan Du Preez - Mike Williams Robert Du Preez - Joe Ford? Jean Luc Du Preez - ? I really hope it isn't but possibly Will Evans based on recent rumours. Another possibility is that Dan and Jean Luc could be viewed as Williams and Mapapalangi replacements. Tino hasn't pushed the firs...

Re: Interim - Why?
He’s confirmed as Head Coach now so let’s at least get behind him! Agreed, the players have said they didn’t want more changes and who can blame them, can’t keep chopping and changing for every season. Doesn’t mean that we won’t bring in some experience at DOR level and other experienced coaches in...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
This rumour has been regurgitated by Big Jim on the Rugby Pod too. Maybe something in it. Damn Du Preez only or all three? Jim saying all three All three are quality players, would be massively happy with them coming in. Would go a long way to fixing our squad. Assuming they won’t be called up by S...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
I just cannot see how Ged Glynn can keep his role...when you look at our squad compared to the majority of premiership competition what we must get for our money is awful :smt012 The main thing is no coach is going to fix this (bar the defence maybe ) until we get rid of a good few of the players w...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 3
We wouldn’t be doing too badly by signing the three Du Preez brothers. Robert can cover fly half with the other two playing backrow or lock. All three good quality rugby players with international experience. This rumour has been regurgitated by Big Jim on the Rugby Pod too. Maybe something in it. ...
