From what I read of the match report, the Irish will be very happy that their academy side has done so well... Frank Murphy, Johnny Murphy, Gavin Hickie and Ian Humphreys all got special mention. Good thing Shane Jennings, Leo Cullen and Paul Burke were unavailable, otherwise it would have got silly.

England 1st XV Ellis, Goode, Chuter, L Deacon, Kay, Corry, Moody, White Ellis is likely to go. Goode is unlikely to be picked with Jonny, Charlie and Olly all available. Chuter is likely after Australia. Deacon is behind Grewcock, Borthwick, Shaw, Kay and Jones I should think, but Kay stands a decen...

***could I please politely request that you NOT use that rather offensive nickname for Leon Lloyd? It began some time ago and was used as derogatory and insulting name-calling both on here and in the stands and terrace - it's unkind and un-necessary. *** Ahem.... wah, wah, wah.... They get the love ...

**Could I just point out, before you slate others for not knowing the players could I point out that Tom Croft is a lock. How many locks generally show more pace than centres!!!?? ** Tom Croft, for one.... He's well known for it. It was a factoid pulled out in the U-21 6N that Croft is the third fas...

Frankly I think he's just securing for himself a permanent place on the bench. With Vesty on there we have cover at 10, 12 and 15. A backline of Ellis Goode Varndell Gibson Smith Rabeni Murphy would be nicely complemented by a bench of Bemand, Vesty and Tuilagi. And, even better, we wouldn't need an...

Pellsy, I was going to mention Seru as first choice at 12, 13, 11, 14, or 15 depending on players available. But I forgot by the time I got to the end of the list. Mountsorrel, QUOTE - I've been trying to figure out why Cornwall has been ommitted from the Senior academy, and my best guess is that he...

Maybe the RFU are contemplating signing Freddy Flintoff, or even Botham.

Would it be beyond the RFU.....?
Surely....
Hmmmm.....

Are you guys forgetting Grewcock, Borthwick and Jones? I would expect to lose only one of Kay or Louis for the 6N with those three in the mix, too. I suspect that the Bath pair are likely starters (Ashton worked well with them when he was there) and Jones stood out in Australia. With Vickery returni...

<<In addition to the pressure kicks already mentioned, didn't he knock one over at Perpignan from the half-way line to help us win our HEC pool one year ? (31-30, if I remember right, yet another last minute job). >> Yup. From just inside the Tiger half. He even slipped as he took it and ended up on...
