Re: South Africa in 6N?
Georgia is a member of the Council of Europe. In a sporting context they compete in the Rugby Europe Championship, are members of UEFA, are in the Europe zone of the Davis Cup, are in the Eurobasket basketball competition, the European Baseball Championship and compete at the European Athletics Cham...

Re: Etu Nabuli
You moved over that way then Tim? Nice way of life? You can console yourself with knowing that at least you'll have decent opposition coming your way. It was a comfort to me when I was watching one of the Blues' dire seasons!! Yes, I emigrated to Perth exactly 6 months ago today in fact! Unfortunat...

Re: Etu Nabuli
Just seen this no 11 here in Perth close up..wish we could grab him before someone else does.Scored 3 tries v Western Force but still lost. Reckon most Premiership sides would beat either, forwards weak up front.. Did you go to the game last night then? I wanted to go but Thursday evenings aren't c...

Re: Bill W RIP
Bill W and I rarely saw eye to eye online, but in person he was a (slightly) more amenable person who I shared drinks and broke bread with on more than one occasion while touring with Tigers Events. Whether you agreed with his stance on a particular topic or not he always spoke his mind and spoke wi...

Re: Heineken - stopping other beers refreshing you
At RWC 2007 in France, the only beer you could buy in the stadium was ALCOHOL FREE Heineken!
Heineken is bad enough in the first place, but take away the alcohol content & all you have left is badly flavoured sparkling water.

Re: The England Rugby Supporters Club
I also was a member for several and never received any tickets I applied for. I even asked under the freedom of informaton act how many memebers had received more than one ticket and received no reply. I should have followed it up. Almost certainly the reason you didn't get a reply is because the R...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
If Farrell wasn't any good as a coach & wasn't respected by his coaching peers he wouldn't have been assistant coach with the 2013 B&I Lions would he? He became a coach 4 years after changing codes and has now been a professional coach for 5 years. You can learn an awful lot about profession...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
If you don't know how to play the game, how are you supposed to be able to coach it? I know Farrell has never been critised but IMHO this is due to respect due to his League abilities. Not knowing the intricacies of the game when you change codes doesn't stop you being able to coach skills a few ye...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
My questions were quite deliberate, to draw from you, and any others, the admission that Lancaster, for all , is no better than the supposedly woeful MJ. What a load of tosh. My first sentence wasn't "unneccessary" at all. I was asking why you hadn't answered to my simple question when I ...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
I notice you ignored my question trying to establish what your point actually is... In percentage terms, I think Lancaster still has the best win percentage since CW, despite the numerous games against the current World Champions. I don't think Lancaster is as good as the RFU make him out to be but ...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
Which is exactly my point. Lancaster's reign is as abject a failure as Johnno's, or whatever adjective you care to choose. It is not a new dawn, not something wonderful, it is a journey that has gone nowhere and in some respects backwards. PS I knew you'd raid the stats site. :smt023 As I ahve said...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
Rugbydata is wrong. England lost 7 on the bounce under Andy Robinson between 25th February & 11th November 2006 (Sco, Fra, Ire, Aus, Aus NZ, Arg) before beating SA to break the run. Rugbydump includes a non-cap England XV win vs Barbarians in the middle of this run. England also lost 7 on the bo...

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
Plus a 5th straight loss would actually make it the joint 4th worst England losing streak, (not the 3rd) as I believe there have been 3 occasions when England lost 7 straight matches (and a further 4 occasions when we lost 5 in a row).

Re: The writing on the wall for Lancaster?
Lancaster's longest is 4 games (NZ, NZ, NZ, NZ) with a net points deficit of -32. Caps were awarded for the match against Barbarians, June 1 2014, England lost 29-39 so Lancaster's current losing sequence is 5 matches, the third worst in the history of English rugby. No they weren't. England have n...
