Re: RFU Judgment on Cockerill
mol2 said; The club and Cockers will take time to reflect on the judgement and take it like gentlemen and learn from it. We all make mistakes in the heat of the moment. Taking your punishment with dignity is far better than compounding it by trying to find some legal loophole. I couldn't agree more....

Re: RFU Judgment on Cockerill
Having read the judgement I think he's been stitched up. They have him for swearing and then it's all about his history. Stitched up - are you serious? I apologise, of course you are serious, it's just that i must have read a different judgement to you, and a few others on here! I have nothing furt...

Re: RFU Judgment on Cockerill
Tigers have behaved here the same way here as, for example, Chelsea and Liverpool behaved over John Terry and Luis Saurez and their abuse charges. Going on the offensive against the authorities, refusing to apologize, recognising no wrong doing or need to apologise, appointing the best lawyers, and...

Re: RFU Judgment on Cockerill
So you're outraged by the inconsistency in sentencing (which in your opinion went against Leicester) but you don't care about the inconsistency in sanction on the day (which clearly didn't go against Leicester). I don't really see how you can judge the two crimes to be exactly equivalent. One was c...

Re: RFU Judgment on Cockerill
This is even worse than i had expected. It makes RC look like an out of control arrogant bully. I will be very disappointed if LFC try and somehow "get him off" or reduce the ban on a technicality. He should have pleaded guilty and then no doubt the ban would have been shorter. The Club ne...

Re: Cockers in trouble! Hearing on 1st July 2013
At the risk of repeating what i have said on other occasions, RC is Leicester to the core, he has a very good track record as Tigers coach/DOR and his loyalty to the Club and his players is undoubted. Having said that when the red mist descends on match day, his behaviour is sometimes an embarrassme...

Re: Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test
I think Vunipola is being unfairly maligned on here and elsewhere and Brian Moore agrees; http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/britishandirishlionsrugby/10151333/Lions-2013-No-winners-in-this-scrum-lottery.html With Polite in charge next week we should have a differenr scenario ...

Re: IRB to appeal Horwill decision
Where did you see that NET? Do you know if any appeal might affect his availability for either of the two remaining Tests?
I strongly suspect not - he will probably be banned for 3 weeks during their off season!!

Re: Wallabies v Lions - 2nd Test
I don't think Vunipola is as bad a scrummager as most are saying. He was generally ok for England in the 6N and more particularly the Lions have two very experienced ex front row's in Wiggy and Gat who should know between them if a prop can scrummage or not - after all they've had a few weeks now to...

Farrell Snr is notionally the defence coach, Catt the attack coach so let's hope not!

Can't really disagree with that Kornboy but I still have high hopes that North will be fit and Zebo to the bench. There is also an argument to have Hogg on the bench covering the back 3, he's quick and has played v well this tour.
Playing 10 tomorrow is probably against him though.

Re: Flood
I believe that Toby is the best English 10 if you take his overall game. I know results are damning, but they don't tell the full story. I am a proud Englishman, who wants them to win, but am really concerned at the talent stifling mess that is the current coaching team. They obviously prefer the a...

Re: Flood
I agree Toby has been cruelly overlooked for this tour, he is currently a better running fly half than Farrell and certainly creates more space for others. Farrell on the other hand is a better kicker from hand and is still very young so i won't bash him as others do, and IMO he has improved on tour...

Re: So what's the Lions XV for Saturday? Read the runes.....
I think/hope TY will get in ahead of Hibbard and I agree with Farmboy that it could be significant that Hibbard is on the bench on Tuesday not TY. I also have a good feeling that North will be fit. Don't think Maitland will play, he was poor v NSW yesterday, would expect Zebo to have risen above him...
