Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season
Suspect, or at least hope, that Pearce replacing Waldrom means that Matera will sign a longer term deal.

Re: Tigers vs Ulster
I would go for: 1. Ayerza 2. Youngs 3. Cole 4. Slater 5. Kitchener 6. Gibson 7. Salvi 8. Crane 9. Mele 10. Flood 11. Benjamin 12. Allen 13. Goneva 14. Morris 15. Tait 16. Briggs 17. Stankovich 18. Balmain 19. Mafi 20. Waldrom 21. Youngs 22. Williams 23. Smith Agree although I would be amazed if Dea...

Re: Tigers v Treviso
Anthony Allen and David Mele were superb and changed the game when they came on, even Crane had a great game of the bench. It's amazing what a difference having a few subs makes, but Allen has to start next week and personally I would also start Mele too. Agree with this, also felt the impact of Ha...

Re: Ant Allen
AA was absolutely magnificent today. I fear, for his sake that Lancaster and Farrell have decided he is not "international class", despite never giving him an opportunity, but this only means we get to see more of him Welford Road which I, for one, am delighted about.

Re: We are through to the QF of HC
Excellent news, certainly would have taken any qualification from this group at the start of the competition. But a win next week will probably give us a home tie against either Leinster or Munster, with a loss leading to a trip to Ravenhill, Toulon, or Toulouse/ Sarries (depending on tomorrow's res...

Re: Pablo Matera
He arrived, then was immediately away with Argentina, then came back in for the Sarries match - but whilst he played well he wasn't good enough to raise questions about Salvi's spot in the team in the critical period of games we find ourselves in now. Injuries have been bad - but Julian is still so...

Re: Treviso away
Great to see Mafi and Allen back. Bad news about Slater, Kitchener and OTY, at least in Ed's case I am pretty sure it is only one week off due to the concussion rules. Hopefully the other two will be back for next week. I think if that side performs as they can then a bonus point is definitely achie...

Re: Leicester v Bath
Superb spirit and determination shown by the whole side, a couple of poor defensive lapses cost us. Thought Williams and Flood worked as well as could be expected, still hope Allen is fit to play the 80 minutes vs. Ulster though. Glimpses of brilliance from Tait, Benjamin and Morris looked good in p...

Re: Leicester v Bath
As much I'd like to see Matera involved I think Cockers has to pick the 23 he thinks will feature vs. Treviso and Ulster. Therefore I'd like to see: Ayerza, Youngs, Cole Slater, Kitchener Gibson, Waldrom, Salvi Youngs, Flood Bowden, Goneva Benjamin, Tait, Morris Briggs, Stankovich, Logo (hopefully),...

According to Martin Crowson on Twitter (https://twitter.com/martin_crowson) Logo is still not fit and Steve Mafi is arriving back in England this weekend.

Re: Leicester Tigers vs Sale Sharks
Pretty pleased with the side, Flood mentioned as injured on the website. I'm presuming Kitchener and Benjamin are rested for this one, with Thompstone and Deacon coming into the side I think that's a sensible call from Cockers ahead of Bath and the HC. Slightly disappointed not to see Matera involve...

Re: Leicester Tigers vs Sale Sharks
IMO: Ayerza, T.Youngs, Balmain (I felt he was one of the few to impress vs. Sarries) Slater, Kitchener Mafi, Waldrom, Salvi (Captain if Floody is out) Youngs, Flood (If fit, if not then hopefully Williams is fit/ selected, I think I’d rather see Mele or Bowden at 10 than Lamb after Sarries!) Bowden,...

Re: Can we reach the play offs?
I remain convinced that this side will be in the play-offs at the end of season. For various reasons: -We are currently 2 points off fourth place!!!! -It is easy to overreact after a shocking defeat but in the wider scheme of things the side was missing its 3 most important players, with Cole, Salvi...

Re: Toby Flood gone .- now confirmed by Cockers - Threads me
Best of luck for the future to Floody, he has been a great player and captain, on and off the field as his handling of this situation has shown, and will be greatly missed. Unfortunately Lancaster and Co. do not realise what they are missing out on- I would not be surprised to see Floody recalled to...

Re: Tigers Vs. Sarries
While a win is unlikely I do think it is a very interesting side and an LBP should still be the minimum expectation. Great to see Tait back- especially with Benjamin and Niki in backline too, I'm hoping Matera can replicate the form he showed in the Rugby Championship and if Kitchener, Gibson and Sl...
